Hi, I have sent my package on 3rd September and they received it on 5th September. But still they did not charge my cc. Any idea what's going on there? how long it might take? Thanks very much.
I know some other users in this room who applied on September and their CC has not got charged yet. Be patient. You will probably hear good news soon.f1ahmed said:Hi, I have sent my package on 3rd September and they received it on 5th September. But still they did not charge my cc. Yes. For all avoidance of doubt, RA/TA no longer works for FSW.Viva2014 said:New update on Express Entry.

ImmiToCanada said:Hi everyone,
I am preparing the PR application under the PhD stream. My basic information is: I have got 23 points from my ECA (master's level), 23 from IELTS, 12 from age and 9 from TA/RA experience ( I have roughly TA/RA 1900 hours in total written in reference letters). This adds up to exactly 67 points.
Could anyone kindly answer me some questions?
1) I don't plan to include any family members in my PR application and I'm single. Does this mean I can leave empty the "dependent section" in the form "Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)" and I needn't complete "Additional Dependants/Declaration Form (IMM 0008DEP)" ?
2) My PhD program is in progress, do I need to include the completed years of PhD education in question 7 (education) of "Schedule A: Background / Declaration (IMM 5669)"? I guess so?
3) I had approximately 1700 hours of TA/RA at UBC, however the workload is not at 30 hours/week and thus not full-time. Can I check YES at Question 9a) in " Federal Skilled Worker (IMM 0008 – Schedule 3)" ? I think this question is related to adaptability score. If I check NO, I will for sure not receive the 10 points from Canadian work experience. If I check yes, I may receive the 10 points. Or maybe I can receive 5 points for studying in Canada? The concern is that I didn't do "15 hours of classes per week:.
4) For question 12 in " Federal Skilled Worker (IMM 0008 – Schedule 3)", since I only had TA/RA work experience, I think I should use NOC 4012. However, the space of "Occupation" blank is not big enough to put "Post-secondary teaching and research assistants", is it good to put "University TA/RA"?
5) Silly question, I don't have a common-law partner, so I don't need to complete "Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409)" ?
Thanks very much for anyone's valuable time and help.

One more questions, do I have to provide photos of my parents if they are not included in my application? The checklist says that "supply six photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying you or not, and yourself."
Viva2014 said:If you go to CIC website, in FSW page, you will find a new sentence: "Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one.".
It means that after January first, they probably will not accept any more applications for the current system even if the cap is not reached.

The criteria is quite cumbersome and convoluted to read. But will get through it in a few days.
I hope all PhD applicants with only RA/TA experience are successful in the Pre-Express entry rules, otherwise....

Ok. So what does this means for people doing PhDs, you ask? Basically it means that they are unable to immediately apply on CEC ( which has the same rule) or the new FSW class unless they have work experience acquired outside of their period of education. In fact his means that someone would have to graduate, get a Post-graduate Work Permit, then work for an year, then apply for immigration.ojohn22 said:Here it is:
