Last night we got our passport request
Thanks for the reply! So will my case be delayed a lot compared with the situation if I can update the medical exam result now? Do you have an anticipated timeline between MER and PPR?pepe84 said:You have to contact them and explain the situation. Cap is not a concerned when Medicals are requested. Cap is filled by the CIO, not by CPC Ottawa.
Cheers and good luck!

Thanks, you can find my timeline on the trackerpepe84 said:Congrats, can you share your journey? Since application filed, PER received and so forth?

I got a passport request on September 26 and sent them my passport, which they received on September 30. I still haven't received my passport back. I have a tracking number but it appears they haven't mailed it yet. Should I be worried?
How can I contact them to inquire about this situation?
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I do have another concern here if you can spare with me. So from the tracker, I noticed that everyone was getting their document requests either together with or earlier than they got their medical requests and/or RPRF requests. I do NOT have a document request and I did receive both medical and RPRF request at the same time, so can I assume that I will NOT receive any document request in the future processing even if I delay my medical exam? Is police certificate included in the document request? Or can you list what kind of documents could be requested as far as you know? Thanks!pepe84 said:I have no idea, all I know is that if your partner or spouse cannot complete the medical test now you MUST tell the visa officer responsible of your case. Write an email to the same person who asked you for the medicals and explain them the situation. In the mean time, you may want to check with your practitioner how risky it is for your wife to get medicals done now. It may not be risky or they may have other alternative tests.
Best luck

Thank you for clarifying all these.pepe84 said:Additional documents are requested when the first application package is incomplete (i.e. police certificates, job contracts, updated bank statements not sent with the application). If you already received your medical request together with the right of permanent residence fees, you will not be asked for additional documents. The next stage will be your passport request to stamp the Visa on it.
Congrats you are almost landing!

any news guys?! Have you heard back?
Of course you have to reply to the officer asap via email and explain your wife's pregnancy. They should give you instructions accordingly and postpone your medical if it's risky to go thru x-ray test. I remember one older applicant whose case was similar. He contacted CIC and did his wife's medical after the birth of his child. his process was delayed but eventually he landed and became PR. You can knock him directly, unfortunately I forgot his name. You can ask someone senior like TyrusX who might recall the story and name. Don't worry much. Because if you explain to CIC clearly, they will be very concerned about your family members's health and safety, and they will give you more time. All the best.churchill1985 said:Thank you for clarifying all these.
OMG, I did not realize that ME and RPRF request means so much. I am almost there and just need to wait until our medical exams are done and update them to the CIC. That's it, right?
Oh, maybe I should update the info of our baby as well since new dependent member is added in though the canadian-born baby might not need to apply for the PR
