Thank you very much for the info. So I think putting 20 hr/wk should be safe. Now by saying I dont have full time work experience I should mention the part time equivalent some where?! In the Question 12 which asks for the work experience (corresposnding to the NOC code) , there is no table space to mention it. but it says in that question that if there is not enough space add another sheet. I have to use this extra sheet anyways because I think under the duty table title I should mention all that is already inside my ref letter. Do you think I should mention that this is the "equivalent part time" there? Because I thought in your previous answer to my question about the question about question 9 (Question 9 (a)” Have you previously worked full-time in Canada for at least one year....” ) you said you can put a note about the equivalent part time job there?! in which of these parts do you think it is better to say tat this is part time equivalent?cantaloupe said:You can do that. But I would strongly recommend claiming less than that for your number of hours. below 25 is safe. Here is why:
Study permit holders do not have any limit as to the number of hours they work ON CAMPUS. However, "full-time study" means attending courses or other program requirements for at least 15 hours per week. It seems as though, based on people's experience, CIC accepts a form of "research assistantship" that is paid for and is reasonably separate from the applicant's studies (more like a part time job!). So, you'd better not claim RA hours more than 40-15=25 hrs/week. There have been people who used >30 hours and slipped through but there have also been a few rejected cases on this forum, only because the visa officer didn't believe those hours could be real for a full time student. In any case, if you claim even 20 hours per week, so long as your employment period is not discontinuous (make that clear in your ref. letter), you will meet the minimum requirement and you'll get at least 9 (or even 11) points for work experience. I hope my explanation clears things up for you.

I have a question regarding ECA assessment especially for friends from Iran (Isfahan university of technology?). Does anybody have an idea that transcript should be send directly from Iran? in English or Persian? Should I send my transcript in Persian or English to my family there or they can get it from the university?
Thanks
Hi Asal,Asal2013 said:Hi Zorroo,
Transcript must be send directly from your university and it would be better in English. you have to make a profile in WES website and fill out the related form. Then ask your administration office of your university to sign it and enclosed with your transcript and mail to WES (in Toronto). At last, you have to send the translate of your degree to WES (if the transcript is in Persian you should sent the translate of your transcript).
good luck

I Zooro, I got this documents from isfahan university of tech a few months ago. what you do after you make a profile on the ECA site is to ask the university (someone did this in person for me) to issue a translation of your transcript and then they will fill out the form ( just print the form , fill out your section and ask them to fill out the rest) and then ask them to send it Toronto. They are quite familiar with this procedure, so dont worty about it.zorroo said:Hi Huys,

Not really, it depends on the doctor I think. I called many in different cities and they quoted differently. Most common price was $255 which at the end required photos...arian_arian said:Interesting!!! I guess they overcharged me!
I called CIC and they said it is OK to do it elsewhere. Don't wait for late appointments and a little bit difference in prices...Saph said:Hi Guys,
I received a request for medical examination on "SEP 11th". I called the panel Dr in my area. the earliest appointment time I could find was "OCT 6th". The Dr is on vacation now. Do you think is ok I wait till OCT 6th or better to go to another city to do my medical examinations faster? Thank you for your help, in advance.

Also in question 8 that asks "have you previously completed at least 2 years of full time study...?" which we should say Yes. So I agree with you that they can not accept that you in parallel are having a full time job.
I am hoping to get the passport request soon. I don't think they will ask for more documents! Lets hope...Fid0 said:Not really, it depends on the doctor I think. I called many in different cities and they quoted differently. Most common price was $255 which at the end required photos...
Do you think we should expect passport request after Med and RPRF or there are some possible update required?
Do they ask for photos when they send the passport request email?!arian_arian said:I am hoping to get the passport request soon. I don't think they will ask for more documents! Lets hope...
