"Have you been refused admission to or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?"

If yes, my husband actually interpreted this question to mean visa denial and not entry denial (I guess a mistake on our part), infact that is why he stated in his travel history form that he was in China for 1 day since his visa was duly granted and he did made the trip with the visa. We didn't think the visa cancellation at the point of entry would raise eyebrow in our Express entry application, hence we would not have included his old expired passport that has the cancelled Chinese visa, we felt we had nothing to hide.

Our intended response to CIC (which is the truth) would state that he was denied entry because the Chinese airport officers that attended to him at the point of entry claimed his passport appeared damaged, a claim he countered but he was asked to go back to Nigeria to clear himself. Upon getting to Nigeria, he approached the immigration officers and his passport was declared authentic and in good shape. It was an official trip sponsored by his former employer so he didn't pursue the visa cancellation further. He just renewed his passport upon expiry and have done other foreign trips with the new passport (with the old one attached).

I already stated that it was an error/over sight on our part, lesson learnt.

I used DHL to initiate pick up, got pick up mail on the 7th June, initiated next day and received passport 13/6/16

AVO received my passport which is on second missionary journey yesterday. There is no way to track update as the cic profile was already closed from the first missionary journey. I pray I receive a pick up mail this time unlike the first time.
