@gimmyle, Please UPS would assist in what way, please elaborate further.

You can still use DHL. Once your passport is ready for pick-up, you will be contacted visa Accra VO. You will then print out the e-mail together with an authorization letter.Take this to DHL and request them to pick-up your passport for you.

Hello House,

Please those that have landed should shade more light on the settlement funds at the time,
Draft or TC acceptable?

Thanks Fred.

Sending parcels through UPS is currently at 40% discount (N8000) compared to 16,000 for DHL. So those who are expecting their PPR and other requests should make use of this opportunity.

Hello fellow hopefuls,

I just want to encourage us, waiting is not easy. We didn't get much news last week but hopefully this new week ahead will bring all our desires PPRs, pick-up mails and COPR. so stay strong everyone and have a good weekend

@Aby444, Please do you have any information about the pick up fees?

Thanks.

I want to know more about the settlement fund, beside cash, how else can someone arrange his settlement fund?
Because caring about $25,000.00 for family of 4 is not that easy. Can someone bank draft or traveler's cheque?.

Amen and amen. Praying so

@Aroms to pick up is 19K with both UPS and DHL. But most people in the Nija FSW 2014 thread suggest using UPS.

Hi Aroms,

You do not need to carry any cash with you when go to land. A bank statement showing the funds claimed or bank draft as you thought will do just fine, If you do want to carry cash above USD 10k (I wouldn't), make sure you declare it at MMIA/Abuja/PH airport ( I would avoid this scenario by carrying less cash- Naija wahala) and also at your port of entry in Canada (very crucial).

My experience- settlement funds was not asked by the immigration Officer when we landed in Canada (your case may be different ) but I carried about USD 4k (PTA I could purchase at that time) with my bank statements.

Wishing you best of luck as you prepare to land

YUP!!
Jide has said it all.
I wanted to add, make sure the bankstatement is very recent, like after you get your passport and COPR. so they know they funds are current.
they dint ask me for it either, i was just prepared.
