Please note that you can'take use your Naija licence alone. You would also need an international driver licence o! Pls give me a +1 for this. I think this cost 10k and last for a year. Yes you can use for 3 months.
Really? I thought you could use the Naija license for 3 months, and the IDP/IDL for 1 year.

Please correct me if i'm wrong

PPR!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Just got notified by my consultant. Thank you everyone for your advice and support during the long wait. And I really hope everyone waiting gets theirs soon! Just hang on...it'll hit you anytime now.

Please quick question, I'm currently not in Nigeria and will return in a few weeks. Please does anyone know how to request for an extension of the submission date? And how long does it take Accra to respond to extension requests?

Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations!!! Happy for you.... feels good right! ;D

I have confirmed from a landed folk in Sask that you can use naija drivers license for the 3 months, after which other processes mentioned by Jide is followed to obtain the Canadian DL

Dunno if same applies in other provinces though...

pls be guided that international driver license is not recognised in canny ... during the PFC session we were told it is only ur national DL u can use.

This is very useful info!

I had lived, schooled, worked and driven in Canada until recently. If that's the info u were given not sure it's correct cos I have a different experience. But that's fine anyway. My experience is that you require both your Naija and int'l licence to drive at least in Alberta, where I lived for 3 years. I left 4 years ago, so maybe he rules have changed. Those me would also avail u for 3 months. The process for obtaining d Canadian driver licence above is otherwise, accurate. Thanks all.

agree with you bros, i guess things changed ... that was what we were told by iom canadian facilitator anyway...however, province to province has diif steps /requirement sometimes ..

in SK that am going....i can confirm it is only ur national DL and no letter from road safety here is needed ...sources : over two yr landed senior

Congrats on your PPR and best wishes for the next steps. As you are not in Nigeria, raise a CSE and also send this request to the email on your PPR letter. However, depending on your travel flexibility, I will suggest that you return immediately to send your passport if you can, I am not saying they wont grant the extension. I just like to keep things simple.

Thanks a lot for the info bro. would see how that works out
