hi all, my 12months will complete in jan 16th,2015. but due to the new rules which no one is unsure of i want to apply in dec ending.
my question is will my application be sent back untreated?

I am sorry to say that, but your application will be rejected if you don't fulfill all the requirements. In your case you must work for minimum 1 year.

I have a question on similar lines?

My passport is expiring in month of Feb 2015. I am planning to submit the PR application by end of NOV or early Dec (currently in process of collating the documents)

My question is

1. Should i go ahead and submit the application knowing that passport is expiring in Feb 2015?
2. Is it mandatory to have a passport valid for more than 6 months or 1 year while submitting a Pr application?
3 After submitting the application, can i send the details of renewed passport later to CIC once i get from Indian consulate?

I am also planning to apply on Dec 16 as I will complete 1 year by Dec 15. So far I know, you should have atleast 1 year of experience.
But I was wondering if the cap will be available by that date. As of today, 3586 applications are received out of 8000 cap.
Any idea if there will be still opening?

Well if you look at the trend after May 2014 the application rate is Approx. 600/ month. Imagine its year end and rules are changing in January so application rate will increase than normally. Logically based on previous years data , I can bet it wont reach even 7000. So I guess you are safe.

Make sure you fill all the forms, and Ielts results before 15 december. so as soon you finish your 1 year apply.

I will be completing my 1 yr. experience on 16th Dec 2014 and can get letter from employer even with my work experience .

If i send my application by Friday 19th Dec , Will it reach to their sydney office before 31st Dec positively ?

Is there any express mail or something which can help in delivering faster post?

Go to any shoppers drug mart you will find Canada Post in it. Send your application by express post, they will charge you around $25-$30 and it will deliever the application within 3 working days. So dont worry you r safe.

Talk to your employer about employment letter. If your employer state your start date as 15 dec 2013 then you will finish your 1 year on 15 dec 2014.

Its only matter of date so talk to your employer, if he says yes you r good. If he says no you have to apply under new rules.

Hi Manish,

You have enough time. Run to indian embassy and renew your passport. Because in any case if the application is returned you will not get enough time to apply under old rules. I mean if the app. is returned you have to apply under new rules.

On the other hand if you go ahead and renew your passport, use tatkal service, so you will receive your passport within month. So dont take chance. go for the best suitable option.

I am also in same situation. I will complete 1 year Canada experience on 23rd Dec 2014. But my question is, if i take the experience letter from my company 1 week before (say on 15th Dec) will the CIC accept the letter? or should i wait till i complete one year and the take my experience letter?

you can do 1 thing.
First you have to take employment letter from you employer as earliest as possible, say 15th dec but in the letter the date should be 24 dec 2014. because you will complete your 1 year exp on 23rd dec.

Now suppose the full application package is ready on that day. Such as, CEC forms are filled out, IELTS result is attached all the necessary docs, etc. Basically you prepare the whole application set.

Now the biggest challenge would be sending that application to Nova Scotia. Because even if you use express post, this is holiday season and it will take at leaast 3-5 business days. So assuming your application will reach on or after 1 st january.

To avoid this , you have to take that application with you. and fly to Nova Scotia and submit that application to CIC.

You have to wait for EXACTLY 12 months, anything short and your application will be returned.....there have been cases where the applicants (40 hrs/week) submitted their applications after one year completion, yet their applications were returned only because employment reference letters were dated one or two days before the completion of 1 year (12 months). So yes, it is a strict requirement.

To be on the safe side, 28th of November would be best if you want it as early as possible. From my experience, for hourly jobs, CIC has this policy of calculating the number of hours up to the date that the letter is issued. I might be wrong, wait for someone else to confirm what I have said. But I am pretty sure that a letter dated before the completion of 12 month period will not be accepted.

I also have another problem as I'm very worried about my qualification.

Current my job title is: Credit administrative officer. I do not know what NOC that I am in?

In the letter that my employer wrote for me, my duties are: discharge typing, mortgage payouts, updating securities, reports, followup letters, statement preparation, faxes, web systems updates.

I am working for a financial institution. The description kinda matches with NOC 1221, but unfortunately they no longer accept application for that NOC. Another close option which I am thinking right now is NOC 1434 which is skill type C. Except for the fact that I have a finance background. I'm kinda depressed with my application

I just do not know where do I fall into for the NOC. Am I eligible at all to apply

Plus, I found another option for me as I could come into NOC 1212 and claim it as credit supervisor.

This situation is kinda messed up and I have no idea how I should code my job. And I dont want my application to get rejected, I have been living in Canada for like 6 years
