Applicant for CEC - Dec 2014

Hi group,

I am getting eligible under CEC for applying PR on 16th Dec 2014 but I am not sure if I will send my documents on 17th Dec . Will it be considered under current PR guidelines or they will consider under new "Express Entry" rule.

Can anybody suggest or guide please if I should apply in Dec or wait for new Express entry system though we are still unsure about Express entry system for CEC specifically.

How actually it works if I send application in Dec . Will it be based on AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) or only receiving the application by CIC.

If your application is received by Sydeny office on or before 31 Dec, 2014 then it will be considered under current proecess....

I am also in same situation. I will complete 1 year Canada experience on 23rd Dec 2014. But my question is, if i take the experience letter from my company 1 week before (say on 15th Dec) will the CIC accept the letter? or should i wait till i complete one year and the take my experience letter?

You can add your employer letter, NOA etc later once you get aor so better send even if you don't have them but make sure it reach them after your 1yr date reached .

They can't count work experience that isn't attested by your experience letter (that is - up to the date it is signed). So make sure you obtain this letter after you have gained the required experience.

CIC wont look for employer letter in the initial verification(as not many employers will provide letter). I have seen and heard many cases where they asked for Employer reference letters later in the process too.

^ I doubt that "not many" employers provide letters (meaning: the majority don't). In cases where the employer is unwilling to provide a letter, it may be possible to attest to the work experience through a combination of other evidence (contracts etc).

But this is different - we're talking about submitting employer letters that do not completely cover the period of claimed work experience. It's not wise to advise people to do this.

Hi,

I am not an expert but i suggest you to do 2 things...

If you complete one year on 15th dec or 23rd dec and I assume you worked full one year without any vacation.
1. Prepare a letter and get it signed by your manager (This letter describes your, NOC, detailed role & responsibility, salary and benefit and also tenor in company) - Include designation, emailID (official) and phone number of the person who is signing this letter. Along wid this letter provide NOA, salary stub, T4 and write a cover letter explaining that your employer is going to issue letter but it is taking time and you do not want to miss dead line hence submitting alternate set of documents.
2. Get letter from employer and it has to be issued after you finish 12 months.

Once you get AOR, send employer issued letter...

^ Again - we're talking about a vital piece of the application package. The first, most basic requirement of Canadian Experience Class is that you gained twelve months experience before you applied. If you can't do this before the deadline, you have missed the deadline.

where are you sending from ? If its within Canada yes it will reach in less than 3 days by couriour. if it is from India it reaches by 5 working days (exclude sat/sun and holidays(India/Canada)) so you have every chance it reach before 31st

hi all, my 12months will complete in jan 16th,2015. but due to the new rules which no one is unsure of i want to apply in dec ending.
my question is will my application be sent back untreated?

I really doubt, because we don't know 3586 application was the # of applications till last week or till end of June.

In FSWP at least we have a global tracking sheet where people are updating their status and we know till when the applications are processed. If we assume 3586 application was received till end of Sept, the we will still have the opportunity till Dec 30th.
