Alberta PNP received: October 2014
Application to CIC received: November 12th 2014
No AOR yet. I sent them an email and they responded letting me know that my application has been received (they have even charged my credit card) but they did not tell me when they will send out my AOR.

This is really stressfull... it is March 2015; 4 months since I applied - over 90 days
Ahh... I am so stressed and worried.
:o

Same timeline, AINP, Nov 12 received, CC charged a month ago still no AOR.
I'm thinking January next year to be done with all that.

Relax :)

Finally got my AOR. I got it yesterday around 5 pm. My application reached CIC on the 29th Aug2014 and got the AOR on 17 March 2015

Congrats, looks like they are now working on all the Ontario applications. Good for you guys. So much wait for you guys!!

I am happy that everyone is so supportive!

All my friends here are Canadian or PR, so they don't understand the struggle or the stress -_-

Two weeks ago, I sent 5 emails to CIO... bad idea, I know, but I really felt the need to do something. I dont understand why it takes so long to acknowledge receipt of an application? Imagine the stress if someone mailed in their application without a tracking number (using regular Canada post)...

There was a huge delay because CIC relocated its resources to get EE launched and going. In August an AOR normally takes about 1 month, now it will take about 5-6 months and for some PNP applicants it is even longer due to QA issues. I get why your buddies don't understand the stress that you have now given the long wait time because back then PNP applicants generally take 6 months to get PR.

On the other hand, do keep in mind that CIC has to verify that the application is completed and retrieve the PNP documents from the void and enter everything into the system; thus, it will take tremendous amount of time. With the nomination caps continuously rising the backlog will just continue to grow. Now that EE is out, some of the resources are definitely being relocated, leaving less people to work on existing paper applications and hence longer wait time to hand AOR out. Not to mention, CIC is understaffed most of the time and it seems that they have an automatic system that sends out notifications at a specific time frame and hence why some people are receiving updates at 12 mid night or during the weekend.

Hope that helps relief some of your stress and rest assure that the members on the forum is trying to be as supportive as they can be while having the same stress as well :)

Good luck.

Hello,

SO you applied for EE too while waiting for PNP PR decision? Is your work permit based on LMIA/LMO? or is it extended through SINP certificate? YOu need a skilled work permit LMIA based right to join EE? correct me if I am wrong. I got work permit extended though AINP certificate and I am planning to apply for EE too

Good luck.

Hi All,

CIC received my documents on January 20, 2012. I haven't heard from them since then.

You need to be eligible under one of the 3 economic programs in order to qualify for EE, so it is not work permit based but depends on your situation. You can find out more information on the CIC website to and fill out the questionnaire to see if you are eligible.
