Do you guys know the direct number combination of cic call line regarding our applications? I'm not looking forward to listening to all of the general info and trying to press the right number...

Thanks but what name have you entered details in the sheet?
Priya .. not everyone is on the spreadsheet .. please do not ask everone about it .. we have to manage with whatever information we have...
Instead you could provide them the "form" link to add their cases !

Thanks Mavrick06 and priya2808!!

Quick question guys.

I received two ready for visa email this morning. Is that normal? Does CIC this days automatically sends two email if secondary applicant is living outside North America. In my case, I am the principal applicant and my wife is my dependent. I am residing in canada and she is in India and our VO is CPC-Ottawa. Since, my wife is not with me I don't know how to proceed with submitting our passport for Visa. Do I have to email them back for VO change for my wife??

Please help me guys!!

Thanks
They might have accidentally send you two emails... is the information same in both emails?
To get your Wife's VO changed you need to send an email to CPC notifying to change VO for your wife... if you check your email Step1: would say if you have any changes please notify on following email, use that email to send a request and they will update the VO.

Cheers...

Thanks Mavrick16!

The information on both the email are different. First email is the normal one which I guess everyone gets the same, in my second email its has the following information;

Header note:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please use this letter if you and/or any of your accompanying dependents are currently residing in India.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence. To finalize your application, we require:

1) Passports

· VFS is our trusted partner for safe and secure passport transmission. Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. Contact VFS in India (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india) or in Nepal (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nepal) and pay the requisite fees for the Passport Transmission Services . A separate envelope is required for each passport.

· Please take this letter and present it to VFS for the purchase of the secure Passport Transmission Service. VFS will send your passport to the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi in a secure envelope. You will then be advised by VFS when your passport has been returned and is ready to be picked up.

Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.
There must be at least two blank pages in each passport.
We are unable to issue a visa beyond the expiry date in your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months.

2) Photographs

Please provide two (2) recent photographs along with your passports for yourself and each accompanying dependent. For instructions on photo requirements and specifications, see: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.

You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document:

· A self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope from Canada Post.

Purchase your prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspost envelope (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet.

Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.

Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope.

Enclose this envelope along with your documents and a copy of this letter.

that sound reasonable... so they have send you correct email... your wife VO is India only... as per my understanding with this email, your wife would need to take the print of this email and 2 photos to VFS in India and submit along with her passport....
So now you dont need to request anything to CIC, just ask your wife to submit her passport in India...
Hope that helps!!!

Cheers

I just called them and an officer argued with me that passport request is sent through the cic personal profile and I'll get a notification email as I get usually. Tried to tell him him that passport request is sent directly but he wouldn't listen. He also refused to access my application as my AOR is May 17 ::) what a pain in the ....

Thanks Mavrick16 for your help!!

I will now submit my passport to CPC-Ottawa and my wifes to India.

Just wanted to clarify the mailing address. In my first email it says

If you have a mailing address in Canada:

- The pre-paid Xpresspost envelope must be from Canada Post. Please note that we will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier.

- Submit all documents by mail in a single package and send to the following address:

CPC – Ottawa – PR
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

.....but my second email is having a different mailing address for canada

CPC – Ottawa – PR
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1

So, do I have to send my passport to the first mailing address or second?

Since, you have gone through this phase what address did you use to send your passport to Ottawa?
Sorry for this many questions

Thanks
