I not aware if you have heard of Asivad Anac..here is what the person had to say (below)....i cant comment regarding the discrepancy between you and your friend..but its always best to show funds to strengthen your application..most applicant notes i have gone thru had no mention of POF or had something like funds not required under this category..hope this helps!

It has been 140 Days since AOR for me and no Updates.
Ordered note around 70th day and nothing had started yet. all status was not started.

medical status changed to passed on 80th day.
Background check still not needed

no documents have been requested. I have ordered second note on 22nd oct. hope to get it by end of November.
