Is it compulsory for background check to "in progress" for second time ??

VO is Ottawa.

Application status : open
Review of eligibility : Review in progress
Review of medicals : Passed
Review of submitted docs :No additional docs needed at this time
Scheduling an interview : Not needed at this time
A background check is needed : Not needed at this time
Final Decision : Not started

Background check last went from "in progress" to Not needed on 21st sep.
it should have been back to "in progress" .
they did not ask any docs even.

RPRF paid upfront..

That is good news that they are processing JULY applications.

Yes, it needs to go to "In Progress" however, sometimes the change to In Progress happens as little as a few hours before your PPR, so don't worry if it hasn't changed yet!

They asked me to ubload 'Letter of Explanation' about to prove Child Tax Benefit from Canada government.
I wrote a letter and attached docs from Canada government yesterday night.
I think it is good sign to they ask something.

I guess I'm just hoping for ppr before the new year same as everyone else lol ! ( I know it's a long shot). My work permit expires dec 30th although I know I can apply for a bowp I'm unsure what to do about my wife and kids and how do I go about applying for they're visas

see the bg check in progress although doesnt mean a thing...people use it for comparing timelines...the bg check would go into usually 5 months from AOR or 2-3 days prior to getting PPR...
it would basically depend on your category and your VO...i am little confused where you got the 2 weeks from...if you can share that would be helpful to us as well...also, whats is your category?

coming to the two weeks concept, my friend
Applied in same category exactly one month ahead of me.he got a document request after couple of
Weeks in not complete status for background.went to In progress for second time within two weeks.

I know it's like being too speculative, sorry guys

yes friend it is very good sign. i hope we all get PR very soon.

I dont intend to worry you but i dont want to give you incorrect info either..

sometimes delays happen with pnp applicants because cic takes some time to verify their nomination/pnp certificate... but im pretty sure thats not the case with you...i have not seen a bc pnp applicant get delayed more than the 5 months+/- some weeks timeframe...

Since you are bc pnp inland...bg check will go in progress 1-3 days prior to PPR...wait till next week brother- is my suggestion

try and relax if you can...
