I've got COPR and my application is approved and closed. Thank you all for being supportive. Below are my detailed timeline in case it would be useful for anyone:

WES Assessment submitted: 18 Aug 2015
WES Assessment Result Out: 5 Oct 2015
IELTS Test taken: 24 Oct 2015
IELTS Result out: 6 Nov 2015
PR Online Application submitted: 11 Nov 2015
PR Invitation received: 27 Nov 2015
Application submitted (AOR): 25 Jan 2016
Eligibility Confirmation & RPRF: 31 May 2016
Passport Request (PPR): 8 Jun 2016
Passport submitted to Embassy: 13 Jul 2016
Confirmation of PR (COPR): 4 Aug 2016

Tusharbakaya, what have you mentioned in the CSE? do you feel there is really a correlation between the cse and ppr?

Have all you guys raised a CSE? I raised a CSE 10 days back and received PPR two days back. Yesterday I received same CSE revert like others but I feel raising a CSE makes them look into your file.

Today, I got a reply For the CSE is sent on 21st June. It states -

- your inquiry has been forwarded to the responsible office, they will contact you if they need further info -

I guess this is a standard reply since my file is outside Canada. I don't know how long this is going to be dragged.

I submitted my e-application on august 2 and today, I got a request for my spouse and I to refill sections 8 and 12 of schedule A form. My questions are:

1. Do we fill only the sections required or the whole form?

2. In filling address history, does one have to fill addresses of countries one visited for around one to three months?

3. In filling addresses, is it possible to have two addresses covering the same period, for example when one was in the university?

4. In filling Personal History section, how does one account for short trips taken while one is employed or still schooling?

my profil didn't change since Feb (medical check). I called them on wednesday and told me everything is fine they are waiting on the security check and then it's all good.

197 days from AOR still waiting.
BG in progress for 2 months now.
Called cic this morning and the agent told me that
My security check is ongoing.
I believe that is because of my military and enforcement background

I mentioned that it has been more than 6 months and last update on my profile was in the first week of May, when I was asked for an additional document. So since the past three months, I have recieved no updates, so can you please let me know the status of my profile.

I really cant comment upon the correlation. However, 6 days post raising a CSE, my BG turned into progress and few days later I received the PPR.

Two days post my PPR, i also received same revert on my CSE i.e.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Please note that the processing times provided to you on our website are an approximation. Currently, your file is still in process and there is no maximum timeframe to finalize an application.

If further information is needed, the responsible office may contact you.


So, I really cant comment on the effectiveness of CSE, but I am assuming the agents must at least open the file once a CSE comes. In my case, I think raising a CSE worked, but again cant be sure.

However, one thing I can be sure of is that there is no harm in raising a CSE.
