I live in Quebec and am applying to live in Ontario... so I guess I'm paranoid. I've submitted a letter of explanation and genuinely will move to Ontario and leave my current job but I hope they are satisfied with the 30 page letter of evidence I sent them! (Job applications I made, job searches, proof of connections with a cousin there, tickets from visits there, receipts, photographs, emails to friends there, evidence of better employment prospects, letter of resignation to my current job if PR is offered, letter of giving notice on my apartment if PR is offered, both letters have an acceptance from my employer and landlord accepting my leaving etc!)

My BG turned to "In progress" yesterday but no other message and email came along. It's the first movement 4 months after my medical passed. Is it normal? What can I expect for next step? Please share your idea. Thank you.

The updated email came in 4 hours ago.

CEC Outland

Inland FSW, Any updates anyone?
5 months since AOR no recent updates.

Background check in progress does not necessarily mean PPR soon.
My BGC is in process since 10th May, and no PPR yet.
There are few applicants whose BG is in process for months.

True but if it's been 5-6 months and it only changes then, I don't think you have many more months again to wait...A decision should be coming along soon at worst (another 4-8 weeks)

I hope you are right.
