How does VI affect the time..
I am from India so my vote will be India right?

It depends on VO's workload and applications they have.
If you apply from India then Delhi would be your VO, i applied from Canada then my VO is ottawa..

I got PPR today morning by email. But then I checked in my profile that my background check is in progress and decision is "not started". In afternoon, I got an profile update email from cic. Little bit worried whether everything is fine or normal.

SINP Inland (FSW)
AOR- Feb 12, 2016
Sch 4/4A - Feb 26
Sch A - March 2
PPR - May 12
Background check: in progress - May 12

Hi all,

I have a few questions, if you can answer them. I have AOR from Jan 2016.

1) Once we get the PPR and asked for the passport then we get the visa to enter Canada one time. So they give us that visa on the passport. Is that correct?
2) How long is this permit/visa valid for first entry in Canada after which we apply for PPR card, etc.? to be clear once I get my passport back how long do I have to enter Canada ?
3) Once I reach Canada how many days does it take for all the formalities before I can leave Canada and then come back with PPR card ? Say if I dont want to start working right now itself, if I want to come back after a few months.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

My Timeline is as follows. Just want to ask is there anyone here with PNP and from india who has got PPR already. Its been 105 days since my AOR and haven't heard anything from CIC. Just the Medicals passed and Additional Documents as PROVIDED to them. Review of eligibility is still IN PROCESS

OINP - 19th Dec, 2015
ITA - 06th Jan, 2016
e-AOR - 29th Jan, 2016
Medicals Passed - 2nd Feb, 2016.
Schedule A/4A submitted on - 4th Feb, 2016.

Since then no update. Getting a little nervous nowadays.

You can land any time till your medicals are valid i.e. one year from medical date. AFAIK, They will do all formalities at the time of landing. All the paper work happens at airport only. PR card takes around 3 months. It will be mailed to the address which you will fill in application.

If you are in a hurry, land thr, do all the formalities including PR Card documentation, stay thr for few days and come back. Ask someone to courier the PR card to you so that you can visit Canada again. Having said that, its not safe to courier such an important document and its always recommended to stay thr till you get your PR card

Good to see lot of movement happening!!

Regards.
