Had a Question.

Is it mandatory for Spouse to appear for IELTS (Or French) exam, even though Primary applicant is scoring enough points to be eligible for FSW and even scoring enough in CRS to get ITA?

Also, if Spouse need not mandatorily appear, her education points will be considered for CRS Score?

Not mandatory. But if you need to claim CRS for her language and education then you need her IELTs and ECA for her education to do so.

it's been really frustrating to login to CIC daily and get disappointed every time. i think we have to keep our minds in peace and lower our expectations of getting PPR this month or anywhere before Mid April.

I think you might need to shift your expectations a little.

They are processing the majority within 4-6 months at the moment depending on your category. If you plan on that and then get it earlier at least it will be a happy surprise and not daily disappointment for the next 2+ months.

Hi Folks,

My spouse's passport is still in her maiden name. She is the primary applicant in our case. Husband's name is not updated for her. We did not get it changed (my bad).

However, we have a valid marriage certificate issued by recognized authority in the country. Same is being submitted to CIC.

Just wanted to be sure that this should be ok.

Inland applications and applications from US are processed fully by CPC-Ottawa and based on their reported timelines, they are working on Oct/Nov PPR's. Guess will be that it will May-June for Jan AOR's.
