Just now logged in to MyCIC, It says Updated but nothing was changed. Later it got changed to Submitted.
I'm happy for this little change after pin drop silence since Jan 31st.
Feeling hopeful. Expecting good news soon.

This wait is killing me 145 days since AOR. Did anyone applied gcm notes through visa file. Can anyone share the email I'd need to check as I have not received confirmation from them after sending signed scanned copy.

Guys I just checked my CIC account and observed that my background check status has been changed from not need at this time to In Progress.

I didn't received any update SMS. Did it happened with anyone else too.

Review of eligibility: Is also showing in progress. I am too worried.

So I need to send the passport from USA to Canada along with a return shipping label.

Sending is not a problem but all major carriers don't do an international return shipping label.. I have to create an account with them to create a return shipping label and print it myself.. the stores cant do it..

anyone have any other ideas?

Guys I need urgent help especially from those of you who have done military service in your country.

So instead of PPR, i got another request for additional docs, which is regarding my husband's military service. It's a form where I need to fill in his "tasks & responsibilities" during his service as well as his locations and names of commanders.

1. Now, what do you think should go into "tasks and responsibilities"? He was a just a regular soldier.
2. Also the exact locations and commander full names are considered a governmental secret, so we cannot go into more detail than just the country name as the location and just the surname and rank for the commander.

Do you think this can be a reason for rejection?

We have been asked for schedule A again for the same info back in January.

Its really easy to sign up and create an account with FedEx. Once you open that account you can make shipping labels, return labels etc yourself.

My background check has been in progress since January (AOR Jan 14). I have no clue what's happening, but it is not consistent with what I am seeing with others. Does anyone else have similar background check status?

Mine has been in progress from the beginning. No ghost mail or update. Don't know what to expect.

what about your background? In progress? Any recent updates ?
My background went in progress and received ghost mail on June 9th and after that the same request for military service to provide with explanations within 30 days

I received my GCMS notes this morning (ordered about a month ago). The file was generated on June 2. Apparently, my Primary Office is Singapore and Secondary Office is CPC-Ottawa. The transfer date was Feb 2, and that is also the Updated Date on the 1st page of my GCMS file.

Under "Assessments", all 3 major components (Eligibility, Security, and Criminality) show "Not Started", except Medical (Passed).

Under the Notes section, if I understand it correctly, it (Note 1; Jan 30) shows that A11.2 was Met. A previous Note entry (Note 2: Jan 27) records that Criminality Decision pending until outstanding PC from the US received (I sent my USA Police Certificate in March via CSE; see my signature). ECA verified and foreign credential confirmed on ECA site ... Credential consistent with level of education claimed by PA. No change in Age.

No other substantial information.

So I just wait? Or should I try to contact the Singapore Office (how?) to give them a 'nudge'?

On the hindsight I should have done it too ... Last time I checked my file was still at Ottawa , I tried calling yesterday they said wont say anything until it is passed 6 months.
