May 25th: Request for photos and passport via MyCIC
May 25th: Request for interview via personal email account (meeting date June 7th)
June 7th: Meeting took 20 mins, showed my passport, provided 2 new photos and any immigration documents i.e expired permits, current permits, as well as proof of payment. Signed and initialled a few documents and that was it. I am officially a Canadian permanent resident!
I was told it will take 6 - 8 week to receive my PR card via mail.
This forum has been a great help over the last 140 days, but it has also caused a lot of unnecessary worry from reading all the hypothesis of different members. If I had any advice for those of you still waiting, just be patient and put it out of your mind as best as possible. In the first couple months I was logging on multiple times per day to check my account for movement, it was consuming my life. Eventually I had to make a rule that I was only allowed to check my account on Wednesday mornings. Once I did this, the time just flew by, and now its all done.
All the best to everyone still waiting. Be patient, think positive and you will get the good news soon!
