I think most of the OINP nominated candidates may face the same dilemma that they faced after filing for OINP in 2015. Another long wait.............

Is IRCC getting rid of PNP programs? I don't know, but there has been no OINP update for the new year and there are so many application pending with OINP from 2015.

The impact I see with this large number of ITAs being issued in such a short span of time, our applications getting delayed further. For sure.

Quey: I understand our medicals are valid for one year and we need to land in Canada before that. How about if we are already in Canada does this apply even for inland applicants. Do we need to do medicals once again?

For inland applicants, IRCC might allow "extension" of medicals. You should "land" or activate your Permanent Residence before the expiry of your visa/COPR or your current passport, whichever comes first.

Hopefully no one beats OINP in their delay records :-\

It's true they sent huge number of ITA but IMO there shouldn't be much delay on the processing because of two factors:
1. The 20,000 applicants will have 90 days to send their e-APR now.
2. The pressure will be distributed over many different VOs to make the most important part of the process (criminality, security, ....) (as of my understanding)

Finally submitted my documents today and got AOR. Timeline is as follows:

Ontario Nomination-18 December 2016
ITA- 22 Dec 2016
Application submitted and AOR received : 12 January 2017

Pls add me to the list.

Thanks

I think this increase in ITA which we have seen recently is the result of the fact that IRCC has gradually been closing the PR applications prior to the EE system. It had been announced for a serveral times that EE gradually would be the main source of new applications. IRCC has to handle 50-70.000 economic migrant cases each year, and according the last EE report (end2015) not every invited applicant file a PR visa request, some never send their applications to IRCC, some delay it for a couple of months.

So I do think that the global distribution of applications is more important than the sheer number of ITAs and the capacity of the local Visa Office is another key factor.

Hi all,

I have a query. My EAPR is in progress, and medical status is shown as passed. rest of the things will come along smoothly as well InshaAllah. My question is that is it recommended to change job at this stage? I am looking for a job and I think it might be good opportunity. But would love to hear your opinions.

Also, once you have landed in canada, do we have to stay there for 3 years and cant travel back home at all? Somebody mentioned this which sounded as absurdity but still wanted to clear what i heard.

Thanks.
