Hi Rao,

I got PPR on Feb 19 and i did also raise CSE and Email .. But so far no reply from NY office or LA office ... I did also email to NY office and they replied me saying they contacted the Ottawa office and waiting for their approval ..

Donno why all bad is happening to me .Such a bad human am i ????

The auto response from the CPC-CTD-Ottawa says response time is 20 working days. People on the forum got respose from anywhere between 2-3 days to 15 days. Furthermore, they give you new 30 days from VO change. So you may just be overanalyzing.

Regarding change of VO or not, I felt it is safest to follow caution on the passport to the word. We all know it is safe not to deal with Govt of India folks at all (if in future someone objects inabsentia stamping in foreign country)...

I did read all the forum threads , if every one get VO change is two weeks means then i am relaxed , but you and another person got in 5 days recently for same USA and i am waiting for 9 days that makes me worried and panic.

It is like i am given a plate of food , but mouth is tied.

Hi Friends
We got PPR mail yesterday evening.
AOR September 20th, Inland.

Below information might help

As I posted earlier, last week got request from CIC for proof of funds. (Monday)
I submitted the POF (Tuesday), then after a day my BG moved from "In Progress" to "Not Needed this time" (Thursday). Got worried.
Then on Friday BG moved back to "In Progress".

There were no angel emails. I got emails whenever BG status changed. I assume angel emails are not mandatory to get PPR .

Congratulations to those who received PPR.

Its strange that ppl from Sept are still waiting for further updates and on the other hand CIC is issuing visa for Dec and Jan applicants...

in the ppr email, it says;

'You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa.'

what is the difference between Confirmation of PR and PR visa? I dont get it ?

Confirmation of PR (aka COPR) is a separate letter.
PR Visa, to those whose nationalities require visa to enter Canada, will be a travel document stamped on your passport, a one-time entry visa for you to use when you land.

Meanwhile... I've been waiting for our COPR so that I can make travel arrangements already! I would love to do like some sightseeing / live like a tourist the first week or so to get a feel of the city. Anyone else planning to do the same?
