Depending on your passport/citizenship. If you're from a country that require a visa to enter Canda you need to send the passports. If you're from a visa exempted country, only send photocopies of the bio pages and any amendments.

so what happens if I don't hear anything even after my 6 month end?

My application was submitted on Sept 5th and AOR on the same day.

My background check has still not started and I have literally a few days till the 6 month period.

What kind of actions can I take? and if I get rejected, (which is shitty because I've been waiting for so long..), can I appeal it somehow?

Or better re-apply?

Did you order for GCMS notes??
U can call CIC once 6 month period is over..

GCMS notes contain all the information about your file.
Comments from each VO, where your file is, on what date which VO commented what on your file.
What all is passed etc.

It'll give you a much clearer picture about your file.

But it takes 30-40 days to receive GCMS notes.
Maybe you'll get your PPR by then. But still you can order. Just takes $5

As far I know, it will contain the details up to the date when the order was placed.

Need to go for medical reassessment, received an email from New Delhi Visa office.. i think this will lead to another delay in issuing PR

The same thing happened with me today. My medicals are valid till mid-May but I got an e-mail from New Delhi office that my medical validity expired and I need a reassessment. I am based in Pakistan, so I wrote for the appointment and lets see how it goes from there.

As far I know, it will contain the details up to the date when the order was placed.

AFAIK, GCMS notes are generated 2-3 days before they dispatch the notes.
So, it should contain most latest information.
