I got my PPR from NDVO on 5 October 2015 only after a few hours after my cic background check had changed to 'in progress'. However, Mycic and Ecas both have not been updated accordingly and read as under -

Mycic
Application status - open
Review of eligibility - review in progress
Review of medical - passed
Submitted documents - provided (schedule A)
Scheduling an Interview - not needed at this time
Background check is needed - In progress (went to in progress a couple of hours before the PPR)
Final decision has been reached - not started

Ecas - 5 lines (in process) - correct dates

My time lines are as under -
ITA - 7 August 2015 ( Outland FSW 474)
AOR - 9 September
Second AOR - 22 September (the attached file was some incorrect file belonging to someone else and I have written a mail to cic and expecting a revert)

Dunno if this is normal ! But I have been told that it means the application has been approved and the mycic and Ecas are just gonna update accordingly soon! Has anyone experienced a situation like this ?!

No..not at all...some of us may still take 4 - 5 months to receive PPR. There are some exceptional cases who are exceptionally lucky!

I have heard of one more case where the guy submitted app on 9th sep and received PPR in just 14 days. But again this does not mean we all will have it this early !! Though i would pray that happens. ;D

That's a possibility for some of us, but unfortunately some of us will have to wait more than 4 months. ;D

Dont want to make u sad.. But just want to tell u..
<b>If u got Second AOR which is not urs..; </b>Then there can be something wrong with your processing. Also its Outland-FSW which will take time to process....
It can be a mistake from their end..
But of course it can be true as well...

So dont get too much excited.. Just to avoid any depression..
But yeah.. hope for the best.. Best of luck...

I can see the second AOR on mycic - as in that's what the message heading says as well as mentioned in Ecas with th correct date! Only the attachment inside is a schedule A request belonging to someone else. I guess that person would have received of AOR with my name on it ! Also the PPR Letter clearly has my name and UCI etc and I have been asked to submit it in New Delhi which is where I reside ! U may be right (that worries me !! ) but I guess a mistake on such a grand level (sending a request letter asking me to submit my passport and all!) seems a little difficult !

Well I am hoping for the best !

On a more detailed note ..my Ecas was activated on 14 September (submitted application on 9 September) and Medicals passed before that date.

The Ecas mentions something like 'we have sent you correspondence regarding receipt of your application on 9 September' and another one as 'we have sent you correspondence regarding receipt of your application on 22 September' - which was the date of second AOR in mycic too !

Does anyone else feel that the PPR could be given in error still ? I mean it has my name and other details including the designated visa offic for submission of th passport, photos and other bio info! :-X

You should be fine people are just jealous and want to put down someone else who is being processed quicker aslong as ppr had your details your golden
