Got the Golden email earlier this afternoon..January 5.

Hi-Did you background check continued to stay not needed at this time rest of time till it was background check in progress on the said date.

Medical passed, BG-Not Started

However, in GCMS notes I see everything which CIC was supposed to was completed within 2 to 3 weeks like R10, A11.2, Medicals, Employment assessment, , criminality were all passed and there is no update after that.
i believe it is under security review which takes long time and will be picked up once third party agencies are done with security review.

Hi guys, just checked all the posts since last night.

Yes, my application was assigned to Manila Visa Office.

I am an Outland applicant so my Background Check went like this:
September 15 - Not Started
September 20ish - Not Needed at this Time
December 23 - In Progress

I checked my CIC account, it's still In Progress....

Cic is really falling asleep, nothing on july, august or september aor!!!! :-[

I believe it really depends on the visa office working on your application.
I know at least a couple more people under MVO who got PPR recently as well...they're from the September 2016 batch too.
