Over a period of time observing fellow members and my own GCMS notes as well, CIC is generally very fast and performs all the activities quickly like R10 and A11.2, Criminality check(which I believe is based on PCC). What takes longer is the security and that is the main reason for applications pending in same status for long time even though all other checks which CIC does are complete. Since it's security check which involves multiple agencies, factors, it takes quick for few people and take looooong for others.

Makes sense. I am have applied for my GCMS notes and very interested to see how CIC makes progress on applications.

I just got an email starting like this "The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with details concerning your situation."

Friends, yesterday I crossed the 3 months after AOR mark.
