Desperately trying to keep this thread alive. :D

It's now been 230 days for me.

Anyone has any good news? There's probably only a handful of us waiting still...

As like this thread, we are going about to die . :-[

Everyone will eventually, right? But I like to believe that's not happening anytime soon.
I am sure the good news is coming soon for all of us, but it's so hard to wait...

That's really good news for you! I hope PPR comes soon.
Your good experience with the call center is making me want to call them as well. It's been 7 months and 11 days for me. You think they would want to share some info?

Why not give it a shot? I think they'd be more sympathetic if you had actually exceeded the average processing time. Over on the inland CEC thread, there was one October AOR who called and found out from the agent her app was approved but she'd not gotten the PPR letter because of a technical glitch.

I'll order a new set of GCMS notes within the week.

Yes, go ahead and call them! 1-888-242-2100 is the number and then you can follow the instructions. I went to address change instead of status as with status I didn't have any success in the past. Post address you can select 0 to speak to an agent. For me it was 19 minutes of wait time but the agent was very helpful! Good luck and do let us know :)!
Well, I can feel the helplessness you would be feeling - in my case the file is there but they haven't asked me for passports yet. Good luck to both of us :D!

Did you speak to Delhi office? If so, were they able to share an update? Email response time is 30 days, also auto reply states there will be no reply for emails regarding status updates. Unsure if they would come back to you.

I guess I forgot to post an update here, huh? I updated the other "over six months" thread. I did call last week, spoke with a nice agent who told me my application is still in background check and I should be hearing something in the next couple weeks, but she couldn't give me an exact date. Not sure if I should believe her and get my hopes high.

Hi Guys,

I am oct AOR applicant and my current work permit is gonna expire by June 09, 2016. So I am
Planning to apply BRidging work permit. My question is my wife and kid is with me. My son is doing his schooling in Canada, so do I need to get any kind of letter from school to apply bridging work permit so his student visa also be extending? Kindly let me know thought.

Oh, that's a bummer. Hope they expedite the BG check!

I had written to NDVO asking for updates sometime last week but haven't heard back from them. Since the file is RFV since 6th April I'm not sure what's taking them so long to issue the PPRs - has anybody tried to contact NDVO or their local VOs over phone? Is it helpful at all?

Looks like all I can do is wait and watch and keep my life on hold :|

I can't even imagine how frustrating this might be for you! Knowing you could have had your PPR two months ago... hats off for being so patient.
I remember some people saying that the phone agent was able to leave a message for an officer when they called. Did you try asking for that? Or can they do nothing because the file is now in NDVO? I would try calling NDVO if I was in your position.

I called NDVO, its useless. It starts with no updates on phone for applications, write us an email. If you tell them you have written email long back and are awaiting reply, they will tell you to wait more.

Hi Guys/Gals,

Finally got the approval letter, so I can finally now complete my landing.

The process was fairly long/involved but if all goes well I will be a Permanent resident by the end of July.

Thanks so much to everyone that helped!

Good luck to all those still waiting!

James

Well, actually it's not patience, but it's helplessness. I cannot do anything about expediting the process :(
I hadn't known about leaving the message for the visa officer - not sure if I should do it or not for the simple reason that those people would have thick skins and unless an MP tells them to do it, they won't do it. Getting to an MP is not an option for the outside FSWs.. so :) Waiting it is!

Hoping this week it comes!

Yeah - I gathered as much as well. It's a standard response from them, they make you wait.

Any movement here guys? Is it that we are just a handful of people left here?

Seems our files are eating dust somewhere. Interpol, MI and FBI are working on our files to get BC cleared :-X

The only thing between us and decision made is either BC or action from VO which is pending.

This cloud (of ambiguity and nerve wrecking wait) will have a silver lining and we will see it soon.
