Just got off the phone, all the agent said was application is in process and I need to wait. Neither can he write a note to officer nor can he give me a timeline to check back.

The only thing he confirmed was that my application is at Ottawa and not at Local VO, dont know what that would mean? Is it all done with LVO or yet to go there? Am unsure if application would go to LVO even? any thoughts guys?

I was told by someone on the thread that Ready for Visa email will come from LVO in local timezone, if that is the case then my wait is going to be longer as my application hasn't reached LVO?

Okay.. so already answered on other thread - you should go for GCMS notes to get a better picture of what's happening with your application.

does PR letter come from CIC or from VO?
because when I read about some people experience , I thought that PR is send by VO.
Please correct me if I am wrong]

I spoke to an agent on Friday, I was told once decision is made at Ottawa then LVO is asked to ask applicant to provide Passport for visa (if you are from country which requires visa; which is my case is a yes). It means mail would come from LVO.

On the contrary I have seen Abu Dhabi applicants getting mails on Friday when their LVO is closed.

Tomorrow will be 8 months since I submitted my application...

Many of my friends submitted their application in October landed, and I am still waiting :-/

Guys, you won't believe this - I had written to CPC ottawa that I had not received any updates from LVO with "URGENT" and this is what I received just today:

"Your application was approved. A passport request was sent to you on April 6, 2016 via your email. Please let us know if you have not received it."

Of course I never received it nor did my lawyer.. Now I have written back to them that I haven't received it and requested them to send it again.

And I have been waiting for last so many days without any reason!! Too much!!
