Got PPR email at 2pm GMT + 2. My timeline is as follows;

FSW (Outland) - 2 Applicants
AOR 24 Oct'15
Review of Medical Results (Passed on 28 Oct'15 according to GCSM notes, showing as not 'Not needed at this time' on mycic)
Background Check in progress since 03 Apr'16
PPR 14 Apr'16
VO Pretoria

My wife, the principal applicant, talked an agent on CIC helpline just now. The agent told us that there is large a volume of application right now and that we should wait till December 2016. If we don't hear anything till December 2016 we should call them again. Seriously, what's happening? December 2016 means the processing time is 14 months not 6 months. Now the hopeless wait starts.

That doesn't sound right at all. They must have just said some BS to you so that they can get you off their back. They did the same to me by telling me to check thru ECAS, when ECAS doesn't even work for EE applicants.

But you have not crossed the 6 months mark yet, that might be the reason behind you being asked to check ECAS. I have seen others' post on this thread who were told to wait for more than 8 months, 10 months and 12 months.

They just said that our application is at Ottawa office and it may take upto December 2016 to reach a decision.

I guess what is happening is that they just looked at the due date on your file which is likely Dec 2016. IMO it means nothing as I had the same due date and already landed. Don't stress yourself

I can believe that.. CIC are not working efficiently .. this whole Express Entry is nothing but a waste of time..

Simple calculations were supposed to be done when they brought thousands of refugees using same work force..

You CIC go and learn from Australians .. in REAL 6 months applicant is there..

I have OINP nomination as well and my application has already exceeded the normal processing time of six months. ???
