I would have done that..

Ya Cjs, even Iam contemplating the same .. although a lot of money of bookings(flight,apartment,tours,etc) at stake.. but u right, have to look at the bigger picture.

I lost my status, applied for restoration
I applied for express entry under PNP (CEC) category in jan, at that time i was working on implied status had a job so didn't need to show any funds. But now i can't work so i want to know do i need to show funds in my account now?

Yes it might affect the number of ITA's given out in 2016... We will not affect us as we are already under process..

Plus they might reduce the number of Immigrants that have been granted on humanitarian grounds... may not affect Economic immigrants.. They can use all the skilled worker that they can get to boost the economy....

Kam-Josh, Thanks but didnt understood... my international travel is on 22 March from Delhi to Singapore and back to Delhi.... this was a 2 month old pre planned vacation... pls advise

If you are out side of Canada then no issue....... If you are inland applicant then you can not leave Canada untill you get your PR card after landing. If you are in India..it takes 1 week to get visa and then you can travel where you want.

Why did CIC stop ECAS service? Those who have applied through immigration law firm, ECAS is the only way for them to check application status regularly. Does anybody have access to ECAS?

I am in the same boat, no ECAS for EE applicants anymore,you just need to seat & wait :-[
