@mmahedihasan that is certainly weird though and would put you in some difficulty. Though of course Congratulations.

And there is no way to know this actually. I had ordered gcms notes a month ago. And I received those this morning, one day after getting PPR (though they were generated like 24 days ago) and there is no update in those notes after dec 1. Basically the same notes that I received around Dec 30th.

My eligibility is passed along with Criminality. Every thing else (security, HRV, misrepresentation etc. were blank or not started).

There is no change in my cic. My background has been in progress since 4 days after AOR (Oct 23) and still shows the same.

Moral of the story if you really suspect that you might have a chance on PPR, its a good idea to may be call CIC (if you are in land) and ask.

Thanks. I should say try early morning or around midday and be very very patient till you get your turn. May be calling while being on speaker phone and head set (so you could keep doing what ever else you need to is a good idea)

Hi there,

Yes I did: I hadn't reported my military history in the original application (was never asked about it really), so my BG Check status changes initially from "In Progress" to "Not Needed At This Time". I then submitted Schedule A and this morning received the mail and saw that it changed back to "In Progress" - then the PPR arrived shortly after.

Hi empirical

congrats on your PPR, another question, did they ask for your schedule A or you sent them on your own ??? i am asking bcoz we share the exact same timelines

thanks

I got an "Ready for VISA", email on 2nd Feb, 2016, which is apparently an PPR email, saying "This is a second request and last reminder. Failure to comply with this request within 30 days could result in the refusal of your application.". It means they have sent out another email to me regarding my PPR. But i am quite sure i didn't receive any other email from CIC before this one. I am assuming this is one of their system glitch due to which they probably sent bulk emails for PPR but it didn't reach out to everyone intended. That means i should have got an PPR email at least 30 days ago instead of receiving the final and last reminder email. Now i am in hurry as i had some pre-planned vacation to my home country from Feb, 13 (i may have to cancel my vacation and all reservations that i made). Nothing has been updated in CIC.gc.ca application (till now). Its showing still "In Progress".

Just wanted to share this with everyone here so that we do not become too much dependent on ECAS and CIC.gc.ca status information (i know it kind of puts us in a difficult situation).

FYI, i am a CEC in-land applicant and received my AOR around October 10.

You don't have to cancel the vacation. Submit your travel itinerary through CSE and ask for an extension.

Hi there,

Yes they did. I actually ordered GCMS notes and noticed that it took them over a month to send the request from the moment they decided to do it.

Hi,

I got my AOR is October. I noticed some people submitted Schedule A with there application. I am not sure if this applies to me because I am yet to be asked by CIC to submit it. Can anyone explain what Schedule A is?

Thanks. :)

Schedule A requests are issued for applicants who might have missed something/left gaps in their personal/address/travel history sections in their post-ITA questionnaire. They basically ask you to fill all the information again and upload it back!

I added you to our spreadsheet

They did some basic completeness checks. Don't pay much attention to the due dates no one knows what it means to CIC. BTW when are the notes generated?

Many thanks AAA2133,

The notes were requested on 2016.01.05 and Generated 2016.01.11 but only sent to me yesterday 2016.02.04

So looks like they did basic checks and forgot all about my application, last ghost mail was way back 2015.10.31

fkl, thank you for your input.
You mentioned that it might be a good idea to call CIC if there is a chance of PPR. Are you suggesting calling and simply asking about the status of an application? I always thought that call centre agents were useless when providing further info on an app!
Thanks and congrats =)
