My BG check status changed from "In Progress" back to "Not needed at this time". What should I make of it?

It is now more than a month after receiving an AOR with no change on my profile; no confirmation of medicals, no nothing. I wish CIC would issue a statement to clarify things because the silence is now deafening.

I am in the same shoes as you are. Mine is going to 2months with no confirmation of medicals and other things not needed at this time. It is very frustrating!

I need to know the rejection time after AOR. What is maximum days CIC takes to inform the applicant about his application is rejected or ineligible.

Well, totally depends on your application. If you missed a document or if you upload fewer documents than you should, then the rejection mail might come very soon. If there is a problem with your NOC or if they are not satisfied with your POF or something like that, then it might come at a later point in time. There is no definite timeline as to when CIC will reject the application.

I have read it at least once some where on the forum that it does happen with background and for some people it goes to "In Progress" twice. So change to not needed is only one step ahead and there shouldn't be any thing for you to worry.

Why it happens that way is some thing not very clear. May be search more thoroughly on threads would help. If i remember correctly it was in September thread but am not sure.

Same as previous + the request of add documents (travel history), which I was aware of through mycic

hi empirical i really don't want to stress or scare you. but this is the same thing happened to me on my past application when i got refused. but hopefully it wont happen to your application.crossing my finger for you. and as far as i know we can't really do something about it all we can do is wait for the decision.i just share my experience. anyways who knows there might be some case like this that afterwards receive a positive updates.

hi empirical i really don't want to stress or scare you. but this is the same thing happened to me on my past application when i got refused. but hopefully it wont happen to your application.crossing my finger for you. and as far as i know we can't really do something about it all we can do is wait for the decision.i just share my experience. anyways who knows there might be some case like this that afterwards receive a positive updates.

I have seen several cases ended up getting PPR with this pattern. There is no point stressing out yourself.

What did you do after being refused? Was it due to technical issues?

It's all too confusing - the CIC basically run a disgraceful system, and we (out of desperation) read into every technical glitch of it as if it were a message from god.
