There are no worries. People do this all the time. In fact plenty of people come here for a visit of a few weeks, do their landing, apply for health cards, open bank accounts / credit cards - so their credit history starts and come back 6 months to a year latter.Ally2015 said:Hi scottygirl! As long you are meeting your entire residency requirements (2 out of 5 years of presence in Canada) you are good.
Yes PR card is needed to reenter Canada. If for some reason that is lost, you have to apply to Canadian embassy in the country you are present and they would issue you a document called "travel document" which is kinda substitute of card ONLY for the purpose of entering Canada.
