There are no worries. People do this all the time. In fact plenty of people come here for a visit of a few weeks, do their landing, apply for health cards, open bank accounts / credit cards - so their credit history starts and come back 6 months to a year latter.

As long you are meeting your entire residency requirements (2 out of 5 years of presence in Canada) you are good.

Yes PR card is needed to reenter Canada. If for some reason that is lost, you have to apply to Canadian embassy in the country you are present and they would issue you a document called "travel document" which is kinda substitute of card ONLY for the purpose of entering Canada.

Wanted to share with you that I completed my landing formalities on Apr 30, 2016 at the Douglas POE at Peace Arch in BC.
Thanks to all of you for helping me with my queries from time to time. To the moderators of this group for always keeping us updated with information.

For those who are yet to get the good news, all the very best. It is needless to say that the wait is grueling and sometimes even exasperating. But have faith in yourself and patience with the system. It will guide you through. Like they say,

It's something unpredictable,
but in the end it's right

Being conservative I would say 2 weeks would be the response time from CIC, I have seen cases with 11 days and 20 days as well.
Do not send out your passport via VFS or courier at the moment, let CIC come back to you.

Don't be sad, its 6 months and 3 weeks for me as well, hopefully this wait will be over soon. I am positive as for 1 month my application was in refused state then it was reopened (thanks to the officer).
Did you order GCMS? If so, what is the status as per GCMS notes?

Hey taekwondo, sorry to hear about the mess, but glad you're able to get out of it.

Do fill out the IMM 5476E form to cancel this representative (I had to do so as well), and you can also include a letter of explanation that you would like to receive all communication from CIC and represent yourself on your application at this point, with your contact details and address, and send this via CSE.

I'll raise CSE to change my address ...however I am thinking of not revoking the representative now ..as I have already paid the money to these people and I would like to see what comes up in my GCMS notes ..if allz well then I'll revoke their rights and if there's any problem from their side ...I'll claim for my refund from these people ...do not want to give them any excuse that because I revoked their rights their representative could not do anything ( or may be to keep them as backup in case of any trouble)..please advice.

Also I checked my profile again ...both my & spouse's Address of communication is my representative's address in Canada ..where's in the Address History its clearly asking for our current address ..which is marked correctly as our address in India. ..so in CSE is it right to choose " Change of Address " even for changing address of communication as practically there is no change of my current address of residence ?

^ I may be wrong, but I don't think you can revert communication to yourself without revoking your representative's authority.
