There have been instances when applicatons are updated and there are no emails indicating such. So while it is usual to receive one it doesn't always happen. As for ghost emails, not all updates are visible to applicants. Saying someone opened your file is simplistic because officers have so many cases assigned I doubt they have time just to open files for no reason. They may makes notes or send it over to senior officers for review if they are unsure about certain things. There are many things involved and we aren't privy to all of them. Trying to understand everything is impossible from the outside so we can only just try to remain positive while we wait.vickymichael said:Yes, you'll get an email update when medical completed, background started, etc...
But I'm still wondering why there is GHOST email when nothing changed?, is it something like some cic-officer opened our file?
I didn't get any for today's changesP@ssw0rd1 said:Hi All..

Is it possible to check Visa Office ?fahad04 said:Exactly similar to my timeline inclusing PNP & ITA!
Whats your local VO would be?
I guess when it says background check is in progress then your eligibility is already done. Not sure but that make sense.jd93 said:So when do they check our eligibilty ? I mean after our medicals passed and it says background check in progress ?
Per current trend, an average is between 6 and 7 months. Some get processed faster, some slower.rkeys said:Hello,
Just saw this post and want to share my timeline.
ITA = NS PNP
eAPR submitted = 16-Oct-2016

Review of eligibility = Review in Progress
Review of medical results = Passed

Does anyone knows how much approx time CIC is taking now days to process PR applications..I know the official stated time is 6 months but I have heard that some got their applications processed much faster? Any info on that? Thanks
I would say more like 3-4 months on average, based on the estimator tool.johnny123 said:Per current trend, an average is between 6 and 7 months. Some get processed faster, some slower.
