When you drive to the boarder, you can simply tell the officer that you are there for flagpole. They will show you the way to U.S. boarder office room. You will wait there first. And then, return to Canadian boarder office room. Good Luck:)
and is this @ the rainbow bridge ? and if my assumptions r correct, the rainbow bridge is the one near the falls ? would this mean there would be a rejection stamped on my passport or something ?

I feel so sorry for you man! You can do two things-
1. Appeal by sending proof that the 5 months experience is actually a full time position and asking them to re-open your application. In this case, the explanation must be very comprehensive with pay stubs, Employment Agreement, etc.
2. Wait for the next draw, and submit a LOE with detailed explanation for the first rejection.

Trust me, a detailed explanation with as many evidence as possible can really do the magic.

I hope Allah solves your issue at the earliest and show you the right path!

Hi Everyone,

My application got refused today after crossing 6 months due to eligibility not met :-(

I had a contract work experience for 5 months which officer thinks, doesn't fit the primary NOC code. So, they just counted my full time work experience of my current job which was 7 months on day of my AOR i.e November 3, 2015.

Now since my experience for my current job clearly exceeds one year, can I apply via Express entry again?

Anyone with any pointers on such case ? Need some morale boost guys !

Please advise !

Thanks .

@savioceg @Nmeka @Kalodighi @alex_dimou Thanks everyone for their replies!

@Nmkea: Yes it says full time but there isn't any mentioning job duties and Noc code and sad part is the company is closed now, I can't go back and ask for a new letter !

@Alex_dimou:
The main point is (copy paste from my lettter) :

Your application was assessed based on the occupation which you identified as part of your skilled work experience in Canada:
NOC 0124 Insight Specialist from 2014-07 to 2015-02 with xyz Inc.
NOC 0124 Marketing Data Analyst from 2015-05 to Ongoing with xyz Inc.
I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement. I note your electronic application for permanent residence e-APR was made on 2015/11/03.
Your evidence for Insight Specialist does not meet the requirements for primary NOC code .
Therefore, I am not satisfied that you have met the skilled work experience requirement.
Your work experience totals 7 months.

I can't have new documentation from this company since they are closed 4 months ago. If I apply for next draw will my rejection affect me there in any way?

Your experience with new company now extends to 1 year so you are eligible to apply under CEC so proceed with creating new EE profile. Hope you have enough CRS since there was a huge cut-off increase in the most recent draw. Sorry to say this but the fact that your employment letter from first company did not have any duties mentioned was bound for rejection (the sad part is that it took IRCC 6 months to realize this).

Not at all it doesn't affect your next application. I was in the same situation, got a rejection last year August stating my job was not permanent even though I had a full time job with LMIA. But I had an end date on my offer letter. So I lost the extra 600 points because of that and hence the rejection.

In the next e-APR after the ITA In the STAT questions where you have answer have you been refused a Visa, I said yes and the in explanation I mentioned my old Express entry number and the reason for refusal (that my job was not permanent). And no other explanation asked from me during the whole PR process. Also in the Letter of explanation after ITA you can mention the same thing.

Hope that helps.

Cheers and Good Luck :)

So I just want to confirm this -- the letter that you sent to cic for the 5 months contract had no job duties outlined?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there are any of us with BG in progress for some time now (apart from Inlands with BG IP since the early stages), but who didn't get their PPRs in the latest rain? Could you please respond with your category, AOR and BG IP date, and your VO, if you know it?

My BG turned in progress for the first time a month ago, and nothing happened since then. My VO was CPC-Ottawa according to my GCMS notes, but judging by the pattern of my BG status changes, I'm thinking it might be an LVO now.
I'm starting to get worried as I'll hit my 6 months in 12 days, and also in light of recent rumours of IRCC possibly introducing an eligible NOCs list for FSW there is a possibility that I might not be able to re-apply if something goes wrong this time.

@Ellia: you can look for "Express Entry Triage" in your Notes section. If it says "refer to IR" it will go to your local VO, the other option is "remains in Canada"

I think if there are no alarm bells in your GCMS notes, you shouldn't worry about eligibility or what not, just that it may take a bit more time than most others.

(That's what I keep telling myself.)

in my notes the primary office appears as "PARIS". Express Entry Triage is "refer to IR". In that case, should my application go to Paris Visa Office or visa office of my home country?

Thanks for answering my question once again, Bellaluna :)
I certainly hope you're right, but my GCMS notes were generated back when [I'm assuming] they only completed the cursory initial check of my application. Who knows what problems they might have found during the next checks. I ordered a second set of notes a week ago, I hope I'll get them sooner rather than later.

As for the "Express Entry Triage", I can't seem to find those words for some reason... Are they always present, or maybe added at some later point of processing that my file might not have reached yet at the time of the notes generation?
