Hi

I know I did read it somewhere on this forum about the difference between security and criminality check, but I have completely spaced out right now. Could anyone please guide me to the link or explain the difference.

Much appreciate!

Yeah, Thank you nmeka.

the only diff b/w the two GCMS is the "notes"....
I was told before that BF 30 days means "bring forward after 30 days".... and due date was feb 14th...

any thoughts on BF 30 days??

Here is one of the text:

GCMS abbreviations: BFD

BFD or BF’D stands for Bring Forward Date
Often when an action is required on your file an officer sets a so called bring forward date. It works like a simple alarm clock, or like a calendar reminder: when the set date comes, the system will notify the officer responsible for processing the application that now it’s time to look into it and see if it’s possible to proceed with the case.

For example, an officer may request the applicant to send additional documents (police clearance certificate, employment reference, bank statement and so on). Upon sending such a request an officer may set a bring forward date in the system for this application, thus giving an applicant sufficient time to respond. When the set date comes, an officer will receive a notification, look into the case again and see if any incoming mail has been associated with the file. If so, an officer may proceed to the following stage.

Sometimes application are not processed fast because it lost the queuing order, issuing officer doesn't know the actual package arrival time.
So I got this advice to ensure proper processing time. It might not make it magically fast, but at lease won't delay anything.

1. Leave your Document Envelope open
2. Photo copy your Envelope with address detail
3. Request Canada Post to put a time stamp on this paper
4. Put this photo copy in the envelope and seal it

how long does it take to get PR.... after BG status change back from "not needed..." to "in progress"??

it really depends on your own timing

For me, it took one day to get Passport Request, which is basically the last step in application.
Then EE profile will get approved, 2 weeks in my case, then CIC sent you back Passport and Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR)

You may choose to land with a local office, which takes 3-4 month to get an appointment.
Or land at border, whenever you are ready. Just don't let Passport expire/wait over 1 year/medical expire

After landing, PR is mainly completed and you should expect PR card in 54 days (April 4 2016's data)

Can you tell me if I order the GCMS notes from CIC website for $5 only through a cousin of mine who is in Canada now then will it take less time?

Thanks
