I have a question, when we go for landing on a Canadian Border, do we need a US visa to cross the border. If No, then what is the process.

Flagpoling does not require a visa. you will get an "administrative refusal of entry", which will not affect any future applications or documents.

No news from CIC since 25/11 and my BG check status is still "not needed at this time".
