Same here, and the status of my background check actually went backwards to not needed at this time. No access to ECAS neither.

Thanks for sharing. I guess no need to worry for now.

AOR Nov.30 still no any updates :/ is it normal ?

AOR 26th november, just showing that eligibility and medicals under review.
Got another ghost email today, no updates :(

Now on the question of "Background check" going from "In progress" to "Not needed at this time". The question mark icon next to the status shows the following definitions.

We need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to ensure admissibility to Canada.
Review of background information may be Not started, Not needed at this time, In progress or Complete
Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence.
Not started means that we have not begun the review of background information.
In progress means that we have begun the review of background information.
Complete means that we have completed the review of background information.

Now does this mean that our applications have not reached CIC or what??.. Since as per the definition of "Not needed at this time" given above it seems so!!

Utterly confused :-[

Guys, do not pay too much attention to MYCIC statuses. You know the system has lots of glitches, updates and crashes. Seriously these statuses DO NOT reflect the actual status of your apps. I would pay more attention to ECAS.
For example my app in MYCIC went from eligibility review to approved with no steps in the middle. And even when I had a hard copy of COPR in my hand the system still showed in progress for a couple more days.
So do not stress out there. You did your part, let CIC work on the apps now.

OK. Great!!
Some relief at least...

Let's see what happens next..
@duckirha - Please update my ITA date in the sheet as 2 October 2015.

Thanks

Due to bad exchange rate i fear that my proof of funds may be insufficient if they do the conversion now. Anyone sent an updated bank statement via a CSE after submitting their PR application. Was it accepted?

There should be no issue if you miss the funds level by a few dollars.

It's been almost a month since I received an AOR. Don't have an ecas access yet. No other updates apart from medicals passed. Am aware this is just a start, but still.. :(

@ayekayman, ECAS is not working for most of EE applicants, see http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/status-removed-from-ecas-t381690.450.html

We have lost 5% of our currency value in one day, so it is more than a few dollars unfortunately
