The officer helped me with my process was nice and the entire landing (from crossing the bridge, returning from the US side, waiting the Canadian Border Control office, to finally sign my CoPR) took about an hour to complete.
and congrats to those who Received PPRs
You got your answer in the new thread you posted, so no need for anyone to reply here.saay2016 said:Hi there,
I hope someone can answer my question here
1. What's the difference between pr visa & pr card?
2. Do I need to get a new pr visa if I change my passport?
3. Is there any validity for pr visa?
4. Is someone can travel abroad only with both these documents?
Thanks for your prompt response
Really simple, straight forwardkvr007 said:Can u tell us what exactly the questions that were asked.. and also what docs were asked to show?

Have you convicted any crimes anywhere in the world?
Do you have any dependants?
Where do you intend to live for the next three months ( to mail my pr card i guess)
your need to bring, of course, your passport and your CoPR. I also brought my employment letter, bank statement and work permit. However, the officer did not ask for any of those. He took my driver's license thats all.
hope that helps
Criminality pertains to your PCCs that you submit where as the security is done by external agencies like the CSIS, RCMP, INTERPOL etc. No one knows how the security is done, except a few old documents that have been released.handsome_zombie said:Hey folks, my cic profile suddenly switched to updated, on friday. I receieved couple of ghosts emails from last few days. It now says 'Updated' but im unable to see any update or change on my profile, no requirement for additional docs etc...
BG is still showing, 'Not needed at this time'. Although i ordered GCMS notes last month, it talks about medical passed, R10 ok, criminality passed, security not started (i don't know the differnece between both), I actually attached PCC for both my home country and RCMP while submitting the application.
This anxiety is killing me. I hope everything is okay... :i

The ghost emails that you received could be due to two reasons that I can see based on your profile. An analyst might have updated your eligibility or an agent might have reviewed it and passed it. Or it could be that they might have request for RPRF payment.
If there is any request you will see it on MyCIC within 24 hours.
Any movement is good movement. Hang in there and everything will be just fine.
You could say that Canada is already making you a better person!handsome_zombie said:@Legalfalcon, thanks a lot buddy.
Its been almost 5months and this wait is actually turning me from a impatient person to a patient one lol...
Fingers crossed.
If it can have such a great impact on you, think about me. I waited 7 months and 3 days for the PPR. Now I am restless to get the PP and the CoPR back. It's a vicious circle.handsome_zombie said:@Legalfalcon, thanks a lot buddy.
