Hi guys,

I am planning a trip to U.S this April.

Having a concern that if PPR sent during my vacation, how many days does CIC allow to send out the passport?

I have checked last October sheet, seems like the longest record is 5 days based on what people entered in the summary sheet.

Does anybody know if there is time restrict that passport has to be sent once receive PPR?

As per Changes to family composition :
Family members can be added to the application at any time during the process, including after the visa is issued, but prior to obtaining permanent resident status. Applicants are instructed to inform CIC immediately if their family composition has changed (e.g., birth of a child, marriage, divorce).

Does this mean that i have time until the landing process( even after the PP has been stamped with the new visa after PPR ) to change my status to married and include my wife's application with mine so that she also gets the PR along with me ??

I think it's not possible if you land, that's what had told avisavid, once you land to canada, the process of PR is closed so you can't add anyone.

So we have time even after our passport has been stamped but before the landing process is complete to include spouse's application ??
Spouse will then get the PPR and we both can do the landing process at the same time ??

I had posted this question in FBI PCC thread as well but I think its relevant here too.

Has anyone uploaded FBI PCC recently through CSE? How long do they take to respond?

Its 3rd week for me since I uploaded PCC. I just called CIC and she said, its still not attached to my application and CIC may not inform me too whether its attached or not.

I will upload another CSE now. What was your experience for uploading documents through CSE?

I am in the same situation. Send CSE with PCC attached in the beginning of February. Haven't got any reply from CIC except AOR of my mail... Don't want to bother them with multiple CSEs, but really worry about the PCC.

I don't think that it will be of an issue. Generally passport should reach within 30 days. I hope you are not going for vacation for more than that.

Thank you for your advise. I am only going out for two weeks, if I have one month to send out my passport from the date receive the PPR then I am in good shape.

Thank you for your advise. I am only going out for two weeks, if I have one month to send out my passport from the date receive the PPR then I am in good shape.

You should be fine in that case. Have a good trip.

You're wrong. It can be done anytime before the expiry of the passport or medical test, whichever is earlier. The medical is valid till 1 year from the day it was completed.

nope I see there people from Septmber who're still waiting,October has barely budged .. The PPR is ( not) coming !

yesterday they gave PPR to dec applicants

Sorry but the previous post was correct. The question asked was how much time they have to send the passport once they receive their PPR. The answer you gave was the time you have to do landing once you have received your passport back.

I will repeat my question one more time.

Once receiving COPR, you have until your medical expires or your passport expires - whichever comes first. Your medical is valid for one year after it was done. I was referring to Alicia10's question about being away when receiving PPR in my previous answer.
