just called CIC right now. after waiting 18 mins i got through to an agent who told me my file is still under review by Ottawa and if I don't hear back until May 5, 2017 that they encourage me to call back then. May 2017...i had to ask him thrice if i heard that right. really hoping he was high on some next level substances, lol

May? They used to say February, is it may now? Did they ever tell you February was the limit?

I believe it's more of a standard answer. One agent told me you will hopefully be informed of the final decision by November 2016. Call center agents cannot give us a specific date on which we get PPR or sth. They can only check the status of our applications and tell us what we already know. ;)

Hello All,

Completed 7.5 months and have to proceed towards GCMS notes.

In order to raise a request for these notes via CIC portal, would like to check if the below options selected are corrected:

Act: Access to Information Act
Type of Records: Case Files
Requesting information for: (My details)
Client ID Number (####-#### or ##-####-####): 8 digit UCI number?
What type of record would you like to request?: Permanent Residence
Which specific information are you looking for?: The electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship officer(s)
File Number(s): same 8 digit UCI number?

Regards,

AP.

I was never told that but I know many people on this forum with different AOR dates that were told February 2017 and then received in the next day or soon after. Personally, I think May 2017 is bullocks, absolutely ridiculous. It's like they threw a dart on a calendar with eyes closed and decided to tell the date it landed on, go figure lol

Mubzali .... please tell us according to your research what is the ratio of refusal cases after 6 month ...........what can be major causes.......................
and another idea please make spreadsheet or whatsup group for FSW cases who pass 6 month and waiting .....

it's hard to give a number on the refusal cases after 6 months because the spreadsheet doesn't contain that data. however, generally speaking chances of refusals happening past 6 months are extremely rare. your eligibility is one of the first things that is determined as part of your application and if you are to be refused, you would be done so within the first 6 months. the rare cases are if something comes up in the background check, mis-representation of facts in your file, etc. there is a whole another thread on this forum regarding that but i can't seem to find the link to it at the moment.

i can't update the spread sheet for March since I do not have access to it, so I don't know how updated the information on it is. FSW cases past 6 months are easy to figure out, you just need to go and filter through the relevant columns. i'm avoiding analysing data and trends myself because i want to stop thinking about this and it gets me edgy otherwise, lol. it will come when it has to. we can talk, debate, run numbers all we want but it's only to make ourselves feel better/assured but it isn't going to make an iota of a difference: that PPR email will come when it has to *sigh*

sorry guys if this is already answered but couldn't get find a nice thread for it so far.

I had sent my passports to CPC-Ottawa (FSW-outland). I am in USA. Normally how long they take to approve the application after receiving the passports? also, after many days from approval do they ship out the passports? Finally, is there a tracker for this?

Hi,
It will take 3 to 4 weeks to process your application and ship out the passports.
