Same here... Nearing 8 months now!

Also my UK visa is going to end soon so now I am worried if I need to extend it because it is going to cost me an arm and a leg. I was hoping to get PPR before that stage comes but now this wait is literally killing me.

Would anyone know how long does London take to return passports? Although my VO is Ottawa but I am thinking that if PPR comes then I would need to send passport to London.

I know the feeling and I am so sorry to see that your situation is even worse. Hope your PPR comes sooner.

7 months 11 days here ???

after being disconnected twice on cic helpline due to huge call inflow, i decided to drop an email to NDVO office only to receive the following response:

'Your e-mail was received by the New Delhi visa office. We do not respond unless you have already submitted an application and we need additional information from you. If a response is justified, we will write within 30 days. We do not provide status updates on applications in process. We do not confirm receipt of documents or passports.'

guess GCMS is the only option, which again is a pain as the form requires manual signatures. well i'll have to resort to that now.

Me too - I dropped them a mail on 24th September and one today as well (24 seems to be the date for me to email)

Hoping this week atleast I get a response.

If you dont have any special case then your ppr will take a 30-40 days max

I thought NDVO changes BG Status to 'in progress' days before issuing PPR. Is my understanding wrong? 30-40 days more will make PPR close to 9 months mark :(

The 6 months thing is a guideline not a timeline set in stone.

The BG in Progress changes when BG starts. PPR is given when all is set. It varies from person to person. For some its hours before PPR. For others its a few months.

Thank you for the clarification. Cheers

Not necessarily true. A lot of straightforward cases have been under BG Check in progress for a while. Mine personally has been in progress for over 2 months now.

i have a feeling when CIC issues the next batch of PPR's for the March group, they will take care of quite a few of these outstanding AOR's. let's hope that feeling actually translates into actual PPR's for all those waiting

Completed 7 months yesterday... :'( :'(
