I know I'm going to get PPR in a day or two.
CIC called me today (???). They asked if I can land untill December 25th? I replied that I can land next week if needed. Otherwise, I have to do the medical again. They said: Your application is approved and you'll recive e-mail very soon, today or tomorrow.
I have never heard before that they actually called someone.
I feel much better now, stress is gone... :)
congrats do u reside outside canada

I heard that Electronic Client Application Status (ECAs) has long been inactive.

Can someone from seniors confirm if this service is still working?

I think the alternate is GCMS notes. Though I consider them ineffective.

It's been inactive For quite some time now.
It was for the older applications.
GCMS notes contain the raw data of your application and the additional notes of everyone handling it.
It will give u an insight of at what your application is at the particular time. But u cannot accurately predict how soon your application will be finalised through it.

HI,

I have a question to all seniors, My final decision in profile changed to "This
application has been approved" and Status changed to "Closed" as mentioned below. But i got PPR on Sep 26 and Submitted the passport on the same day. Will it be rejected at any chance before visa stamping, please clarify.

status : Closed (/mycic/helpEEStatusOverall.do)
Review of eligibility: Passed (/mycic/helpEEStatusEligibility.do)
Review of medical results : Passed (/mycic/helpEEStatusMedical.do)
Review of submitted documents: Provided (/mycic/helpEESubmittedDocuments.do)
Scheduling an interview: Blank (/mycic/helpEESchedulingInterview.do)
A background check is needed : Complete (/mycic/helpEEBackgroundInformation.do)
Final decision: This application has been approved (/mycic/helpEEFinalDecision.do)

There is no need to be worried. From what I have read, that means that ur passport has been stamped and ur application is approved. What is VO and category?

Hi SusanSimon,

But i have submitted my passport only on 26 Sep which reached Delhi on 27 Sep.
How it is possible that it will be stamped by now, when i check the status in VFS, it is still processing, How to get the VO information, i believe New Delhi.

Oh. But at this stage, you won't get rejected. If your file is approved and closed, then there is nothing to worry about.

It's done don't bother. Did you submit your passport in Delhi?

Hey guys,

I got my passport back and the applicantion is approved and closed. It took ten working days to be stamped, and I submitted it at the mumbai vfs. Applicants from delhi might get it earlier.

Anyway, since I have the package with me, here are the things / documents that you should look out for:

- Passport : The visa should be stuck on one of your passport pages. Please note that there will be no photograph on the visa. Check all the details eg dob, pp no., visa expiry etc. make sure they are correct.
Ofcourse this is only for applicants from non-visa exempt countries.

- 2 prints of Copr : One is a cic copy, on which the photograph (which had the photostudio details) is stuck.
The other is a client copy. No photograph is stuck on this. Check your details onboth the print outs and tally them with the visa in the passport. Please do not do anything to the Copr printouts. You are meant to sign them in the presence of the immigration officer when you land.

- Spare Photograph : This is the second photograph, which is returned along with the package.

- Leaflet: This is a leaflet containing instructions / general information. Please read this very carefully.

Please check all the details on the Copr and the visa twice, thrice and make sure everything is correct. You do not want to get into trouble once you land.

This is what I recieved from NDVO. Other VOs might have a slightly different procedure.
Hope this helps.
