Can people living outside Canada (US in my case) apply for GCMS notes?

When I tried the link, it said you have to be present in Canada.

Thanks

Unfortunately, only people living in Canada can apply for the GCMS notes. For all others you will have to get it from private companies. Another way out is to ask someone you know who resides in Canada to do it for you. Some applicants have done it successfully.

I applied for BOWP 9 days after AOR and got it approved. Also, they only took 1 month to process the BOWP application.

Hey Guys!

I submitted my PR application on March 19th. I have to apply for BOWP now.

I am wondering how much time approximately is CIC taking these days to complete R10 stage for FSW inland category.

Anyone has any idea?

Does anyone contact info for these private companies, so I can order GCMS notes through them?

The section 4 of the Access to Information Act states:

Right to access to records

4 (1) Subject to this Act, but notwithstanding any other Act of Parliament, every person who is

(a) a Canadian citizen, or

(b) a permanent resident within the meaning of subsection 2(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act,

has a right to and shall, on request, be given access to any record under the control of a government institution.

People not in Canada can have a representative who is either a citizen or a PR and can order the notes on their behalf, or use a third party private company like http://gcmsnow.com or http://www.visafile.info to order their notes.

I have personally used Visafile to order 3 sets of notes.

i got my Gcms notes today, everything seems ok, didn't get much information, should have waited more to see some movements in file.
got them in 2 weeks time

BTW,
anyone knows what will happen with the application in case the company who issued LMIA is shutted down?
Are there any ideas?
Application becomes irrelevant right away, or there is any line after which lmia does not play any role in the process?
Thanks in advance

I ordered my GCMS notes on 13the April and got them today (in 2 weeks) from visafile company.
My timeline:
CSW Outland (New Zealand) FSW
AOR: 18 March
Meds Passed: 19 March
Additional documents request and submited: 22 March
BG: Not started

In my GCMS notes it says at the top:
Eligibility: Not started
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not started

But if I read on those 170 pages of GCMS report, under the point calculation it says FSW eligibility met

Under notes it says (notes on 19 March: application sent for R10 review) and transferred to Sydney, Nova Scotia office due to workload distribution. I don't think they have any office in New Zealand.

Nothing so noticeable after 02 April in my notes. Due date for next action was 18 April, but my notes were generated on 13 April so I guess I missed any change (if happened)

Hope its helpful for some of you who are trying to order GCMS notes. I think its reasonable to wait at least 1.5-2 months since AOR to order them.

I ordered on 12th April, but havent got it yet :'( :'( :'(

Same here.

I ordered mine directly as I am present in Canada.

I guess visafile got the job done quicker since its a private organization.

Average timeline for individuals who ordered directly through Privacy Act is 18 days (this is strictly my observation and not an official processing time)

Based on that, I hope to get mine by the end of this week.

I requested Apr11 but still haven't got it yet. Did you request inland or via visafile? Inland request usually takes 30 days wait time.
