What are the next steps after one has passed medicals, BCK Check has gone into progress and Schedule A has been submitted...

Now comes the biggest step of all....Wait, Wait and Wait

inland or fsw? AOR dated?

Has to be Inland. I believe for outland, BG in Progress will take some more time.

AOR in signature 21/3/16

PNP OUTLAND

Oh... that's a surprise. Kindly update you details in the March spreadsheet. You are the first one with BG in Progress for outlanders.

I'm on track to have all the stuff signed and uploaded by Sunday. Fingers Crossed.

God bless everyone and good luck

I am a CEC inlander. The day my medicals passed, my BG check went from "not needed" to "not started". It was two weeks ago. Since then no movement in myCIC account.

I do not understand why it does not go to "in progress". When everybody else in the thread with similar timeline had this change.

I saw in other treads a few people who never had their BG check started and got a change after 4-5 months just before ppr
Whats your NOC ?

On the contrary. Most of the people who got AOR in march have their bg check in "not started" or "not needed at this time".

i found out from few of my friends that they can even change bg in progress just couple of days before ppr, so i think there is nothing to worry about it

Sorry my bad you are totally right it is the contrary. I was saying this just using my memory, guess I am getting old :D

What happens if I leave Canada in May, while my PR & BOWP applications are in progress and my current working permit still valid (it expires end of may) and I don't return until I got approved ?

Why ? I'm reaching a point of no return with my current employer and I don't want to extend my current contract while I will be in implied status and I can't stay unemployed here so I need to go back to my country (life is too expensive).

Will my applications be automatically cancelled ?

I could be wrong, but seems like the moment your background changed from not needed to not started for the first time is when they begin the completeness check which is R10. And when the status changes to in progress, it usually means the R10 check is passed and they begin the eligibility check. So don't worry about it and stay put, it's going to be a long wait.

Submission and AOR on March 30.
Good luck everyone!
