Any idea what is the passport validity that NDVO asks for, 6 months or 12? Most of the countries do ask for 6, but on another thread I read that some are asking for a 12months validity.

Ankara VO asked for a 12-month passport validity from me.

For inland applicants its 6 months and Outland its 12 - NDVO had asked for 12 months validity in the past!

Looking at the current pattern and treatment to Jan/ Feb AOR's, Even 6 months seems a good projection forget the august

Why is NDVO behaving like this ? This wait is damn frustating

From the information I have, you should have 12 months validity. This is probably because they estimate you have about 6 months left for landing and keep a further 6 months as buffer so you do not have to rush in for renewal.

If you are under 12 months then you should renew your passport so that your CoPR will have the updated passport number as well.

Thanks for the info. So..yes...If the time comes to send it for visa stamping to NDVO..I will have to send the renewed passport.
