Ankara VO asked for a 12-month passport validity from me.RitJ said:Any idea what is the passport validity that NDVO asks for, 6 months or 12? Most of the countries do ask for 6, but on another thread I read that some are asking for a 12months validity.
For inland applicants its 6 months and Outland its 12 - NDVO had asked for 12 months validity in the past!RitJ said:Any idea what is the passport validity that NDVO asks for, 6 months or 12? So if my passport is valid for less than 12 month , I have to renew it and send it along with a copy of the old passport to the VO ?Eye in the sky said:For inland applicants its 6 months and Outland its 12 - NDVO had asked for 12 months validity in the past!
Probably yes!!messiry said:So if my passport is valid for less than 12 month , I have to renew it and send it along with a copy of the old passport to the VO ?
From the information I have, you should have 12 months validity. This is probably because they estimate you have about 6 months left for landing and keep a further 6 months as buffer so you do not have to rush in for renewal.RitJ said:Thanks Haznac and Eye in the sky. Looks like I'll have to send it for renewal if I get a PPR! Though I do hope that they ask for a 6 months validity.
Thanks for the info. So..yes...If the time comes to send it for visa stamping to NDVO..I will have to send the renewed passport.PiyushAgrawal06121985 said:From the information I have, you should have 12 months validity. If you are under 12 months then you should renew your passport so that your CoPR will have the updated passport number as well.
Yes, so this Friday you need your new passportRitJ said:Thanks for the info. So..yes...If the time comes to send it for visa stamping to NDVO..I will have to send the renewed passport.
