By the way, how do you get those additional details that I see in some signatures? (Examples, access or ECAS and so on) ?

A brief story of mine is the following ...

I created a profile in June 2015

Got my Invitation to apply in June 2015

Confirmation of Online Application Transmission & Acknowledgement of receipt in end of July 2015

(I did my medical tests and paid too)

now from several months, I see this as status

Questions:

1) Is it any normal?

2) My actual WP is expiring in April 2016, should I apply for a bridge open work permit? If yes, what should I show to them? I have just the electronic Acknowledgement of receipt (Electronic receipt of APR)
(their commitment to reply within 6 months would end in the end of the month)

1) Yes it's normal. I too have the exact situation and by the end of this month, it will be exactly six months.I think that before 2nd week of Jan, you can expect some good news

I am also an "outland" applicant. Crossed 5.5 months. Will cross 6 months soon and hope to get the PPR in Jan

Yes mate, I too am a frustrated outlander . I too will cross six months by end of this month.

I'm pretty hopeful that I will hear something from CIC by the second week of Jan.

I tried getting it from canadapost website but they cannot send the prepaid envelope outside canada. So I don't think it will work. Need another option.

Hi,
I am in same situation as yours. Indian passport holder living in USA. You have 2 options:
1. Raise a CSE and get changed your VO from Ottawa to local VO.
2. Use Fed Ex to send your passport with return label.(pprint custom declaration form for both sides in this case)

People on forums have done both methods and have been successful. However I am changing my VO to local VO office. Reason 1. I am in no hurry, changing VO will add 10 days minimum to your timeline. 2. On last page of passport it is written that we cannot send passport through mail to other country. I want to go by what is right method. so its upto you.
