AOR in July, 2015...Guys lets get togeather!!

Not entirely sure how the system works! I was reading another thread and someone got their PPR but their status for background check remained at Not Started for the whole of the process in fact he didn't get an update after meds passed, 3 months later got the PPR! The VO obviously didn't update as he/she went along.

Why express entry is full of surprises and unpredictable. At least there should steps to follow. For example AOR 1st, then Medical Passed, then BG and then ECAS.

So we atleast know where we are and how many hurdles are left.

I have seen for some BG never started at all and they got ECAS in process whereas for me i am still stuck at BG in process. I use to think BG check means they want to determine the eligibility first and then will process ECAS.

I submitted the application on July 13, and got my ECAS in process on August 12 or 13, but my background check changed to In progress until August 14.

Anyone who have work permit expiring shortly and applied bridge open permit? Mine is expiring in 1st week of Oct. Not knowing whether to wait for second AOR to apply. Any idea? Can I apply BOWP?

After a long wait since July 10th, only today my ECAS changed to In Process. Same 3 lines. But background check still "Not Started". Please update the sheet under Jason.

My work permit is expiring in 2 weeks. I am in the same boat as you are.

My ECAS has 3 lines. Status is in Process. Background check in progress.

I have heard that other people have applied using 1st AOR. But not sure yet.

I will wait for few more days and then apply with 1st AOR so that i can be on implied status.

Same situation as me, my work permit will be expired 1st of October, I don't know what suppose to do? Either apply BOWP or wait for 2nd AOR.

Its all assumptions never knows wat will happen next my first application submitted on march 15 get refused on june 30 after submitting RCMP fingerprints and i was so confident about ppr after submitting rcmp now back on track with new application submitted on july11 ,everything moving quickly medical passed ecas in IN PROCESS on Aug 12, lets c wat will happen but i have a hope ....

Same situation mate. My first application got rejected too on june 30. I then submitted my second application and am hoping for the best.

If your background check doesn't start within couple of weeks of your file submission , it means that there are possibilies cic might reject your application, in rare cases file got rejected even after the starting of background check.
