Hi Guys,
This what i got from Green and Spigel email.

Refugee Processing May Cause Delays for Other Applications

December 2, 2015 – Please be advised that in order to meet Canada’s commitment for the resettlement of Syrian refugees, some Government of Canada immigration professionals are being temporarily reassigned from other departments and units. This may cause temporary processing delays across multiple work permits streams and permanent residence applications.

If you require urgent assistance in processing a work permit or immigration application, please contact Green and Spiegel.
That's pure speculations.

It's a hypothesis based on terse information we get from CIC. They assigned 500 dedicated visa officers to process refugees' applications. Where did they take these officers from?
And this hypothesis matches statistics. Not a single July inland FSW has gotten a DM/PPR yet.

makes sense... as I once mentioned many government institutions, including Social Services, will sometimes re-assign or rotate 'agents' based on surges in specific circumstances... It sounds reasonable that a general CIC agent can work on regular immigration applications and refugee applications... and it makes sense that if there's a big surge in refugee applications being processed in an expedited fashion, that they will assign some (or even 'most') of other CIC agents to the refugee department.

And because those Syrians are in dire need of a better/safer life, I personally don't feel bitter about it.. It's very stressful yes, but I can't help but feel happy and relieved for those poor Syrians. I just hope CIC can figure out how to keep processing Syrian applications without disrupting other streams.

Well, they're taking these refugees from refugee camps, where they're safe. Honestly, some applicants from Eastern Europe are in higher urge than these refugees. All in all it looks like an attempt to keep the promise which is by itself is very populist.

Syrian Refugee migration stands first priority... but...

Damn Express entry process and sounds nothing great about it comparing with regular process.... whole time waiting after creating express entry profile, your profile picked up in draw and their processing application time become same now as with regular process...

To me there is no benefit from express entry... it only made to spend us more money and frustation... especially how tough to get your credentials evaluated from your country... guessing they will start processing our application after christmas holiday... by the time it will be six months...

true. Its almost 1 year since I started the process. Like preparing for IELTS, creating EE profie, waiting for ITA, then loooong wait after submitting application.

I took CELPIP exam (11,10,8,7) to get more EE score (CELPIP- 108 points) although I am eligible for entering EE with IELTS score (7,6,6,6.5)... :( :( :( :( :(

Whereas, regular process would saved me $300, education - $500 (evaluation - 240, In/out mail - $230, attestation - $30)

jamason is still waiting, and he's July 1st applicant.
Is it only July Outland applicants who are waiting? Inland Applicants timelines are usually shorter, ain't it?
