Wow....its really encouraging to see January thread buzzing with activity....Congrats you guys!!;)
I'm trying to be patient while I wait for my turn.
PNP Outland - Jan 21 AOR
BGC - NA since March 1, 2017

just got my GCMS notes, generated on May 18
Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed

4 main points on the notes
1. My name was changed, dropping my 3rd given name. I think this is based on passport bio page, they didn't see there is a note on the next page that the full name actually has a 3rd name. Need to call them up to change this.
2. I submitted my documents for marriage, changing my status from common-law - married on May 18, so it not yet there
3. Nothing has been touched since March 1 :(
4. My office is still CIO not yet transferred to LVO

Hi Michael,

Your formula is excellent :)

How are you contacting IRCC ? Can you please share the contact details ? Thanks

Hello everyone,
Need your views on my timeline:

Category: PNP-O
14th Jan, 2017: AOR
7th Feb, 2017: Relocated to a different country
February Second Week: Med Passed
21st Feb, 2017: Informed IRCC via webform about relocation to different country on work permit and about end of employment previous employer
15th May, 2017: Called IRCC and was informed that application is undergoing security checks.
18th May, 2017: BG In Progress (Not sure if it is BG1 or BG2 since I did not keep a track)
25th May, 2017: Informed IRCC via webform about new employer.
29th May, 2017: Called IRCC and was informed that application is at final stage and I should be contacted anytime (possible PPR)
2nd June, 2017: Called IRCC and was informed that application is with NDVO since 18th May, 2017 and they would take it further. No other information was provided as apparently, they cannot access details for applications once they have been transferred to VOs.

As you guys can imagine, since 15th May, every time there is any email notification, I am checking my emails more eagerly now. I keep coming back to this forum to see if any new PPRs have come on a given day, just to try and understand if application processing is happening for everyone or has stalled.

I know that I am well within the 6 month TAT and also that I may get PPR soon. However, the purpose of this post is to share my timeline, gather your thoughts and comments and just to voice out the nervousness and the sense of desperation this wait is causing.

Having closely witnessed immigration process for couple of other countries such as Australia, NZ, etc., I can vouch for the fact that IRCC is much more responsive. I am sure those who have gone through other PNPs may have varied comments about their experience with respective programs but my personal feeling is, to put it mildly, OINP was a challenge, however, IRCC experience has been much smoother.

I think what they could do to take their program a bit further and to offer greater applicant experience is, automate and digitize the GCMS Notes process. I mean, the process to order the notes is bureaucratic and doesn't really make sense.
  1. I can't order for the notes if I am outside Canada, but third party organizations can do it for me, thus making me expose my personal information to those service providers.
  2. The notes take 30 to 45 days to be delivered after date of generation, which means, that the information lag is at least 16.5% (1 month (notes delivery time) / 6 month (PR TAT) = 16.5% (Information Lag)).
PS: Look Maa, my contribution to the world. A formula which I have named, IRCCPRAID (IRCC PR Application Information Delay) :p:p:p

Jokes apart, so far, the IRCC experience has been good, lets see how they close the deal. Will update you all once I hear more from IRCC, hopefully, it will be the golden PPR email. :):):)

Thanks for hearing me out. Do share your thoughts on your application or my timeline or general experience overall.

Hi Michael,

First of all, "Best of Luck" for your next step pf progress.
You mentioned that you called IRCC and they informed you that your file is transferred to NDVO.
Can you share the contact# where you called and approximately at what time(IST). Because I have been trying to reach the IRCC quite a number of times but the call never seemed to get connected.

Thanks...

+1-613-944-4000

Options 11111311 (not sure if its three 1s or five 1s ... )

You need to be persistent and call them time again. There will be times when IVR will say, "All our agents are busy, we cannot connect you..." and the call will get disconnected. However, if you try right back, you may get in the queue. Its totally random, no pattern based on time or anything.

If you are calling from outside Canada, please make sure you get a plan for international calling otherwise you will end up paying a hefty bill just for waiting to get connected.

Hope this helps.
