I was on PGWP, but a bridging open work permit isn't an extension of that per-say. It's you applying for an open work permit to be able to work while your application is being processed. You don't receive a work permit with the PGWP classification.

And if you get really technical - you are still allowed to work until they make a decision on that application. Even if it ends up being a no.

Even if you apply to be a visitor you still are a worker until they change your status formally.

For those of you still waiting, don't lose hope your day will come soon! I have been trying to get pr in Canada for many many many years (every time I was closed to getting the requirements things changed) but you have to keep fighting and moving forward. Here is my timeline:

CEC INLAND
CRS points: 501

ITA: 23 Dec 2016
AOR: 30 Jan 2017
BOWP application: 7 Feb 2017
Medicals passed: 27 Feb 2017
Background check in progress (1): 27 Feb 2017 (my background check has been like that since and it still is, no NA nor IP(2))
BOWP approved: 17 Mar 2017
PPR: 18 Apr 2017
PPR mailed: 19 Apr 2017

There is nothing in my CIC account nor messages and it still shows background check and eligibility in progress.

Guys i got ppr on 17.04.2017. But the address on ppr is not the one mentioned in my passport, the one for which pcc was done. It is instead my husband's address. I am the PA. When the passport goes to NDVO., and they do the scrutiny, can this address issue b a problem? Should i worry or is this normal? Kindly reply im perturbed. Please!

I dont think this is an issue at all. but post in below thread and people can tell you how to change the return address for New Delhi Visa Office. Between congrats for your PR, it gives candidates like me who are waiting on NDVO !

Don't worry about the address difference. While stamping they will not verify all these things. You submit it at VFS and collect from VFS to avoid any hassles.
