Did you tell them about the implied status?
Also you should get BOWP within the processing time (is it 30 days ish now?) as your R10 check must have been completed by now.

Legally implied status only works if you're waiting for a WP renewal, I'm on IEC which can't be renewed, so no implied

Hi,

Don't worry about the interview. They may have few questions about your documentation or application which requires further explanation. I don't think scheduling interview is usually to do the rejection. Go with peace of mind with all the documents that you submitted for PR process. I read in one of the thread, it will be simple and we don't need to think too much about that interview. Here is the thread which talks about the interview. Hope it will calm you stress ;)

Think positive by saying that you have seen some movement on your application. All the best for your interview.

Thanks again, you really very nice helpful,
what do you think may be the reasons for interview , i have also LMIA approved of 600 points and have full time job offer, my GCMS notes all ok, but its really stressful and they did not give opportunity to prepare as its on 26th of April and i live 500 kilometer away from new dehli.

any help on this forum is welcome please.

I could be wrong but I thought I've heard of PGWP holders being on implied status, and PGWPs cannot be renewed either

I think it boils down to whether your employer believes you at face value or consults a lawyer. legally though there isn't implied unless you're renewing

Option 2:

Apply for another type of work permit.

If you apply for a new work permit, you should submit your application at least 30 days before your International Experience Canada work permit expires. This will ensure that you don’t lose legal status in Canada.

If we refuse your application for a new work permit, you must leave Canada before the date indicated on the letter we send you.

"will ensure that you don’t lose legal status in Canada".. Doesn't it mean implied status?

Just trying to help

I have the same timeline as you are, AOR Jan 30, same day applied for a BOWP since my POWP was expiring Jan 31. Was waiting a long-long time for an approval, even my lawyer said that they are probably waiting for a decision on my Express Entry application. Decided to filled in the IRCC Web form in the end of March and got approval for my BOWP on April 7th. I don't know is the form helped but it could be the case. Also, I was in an implied status from Jan 31 to April 7.

We are on the same boat and i know how you feel, especially when March AOR got the PPR's

It's crazy how Feb/March AORs are getting PPRs and us the last week Jan AORs are stuck in BG IP.
I wonder if this has something to do with whether or not you provided RCMP check upfront.
